I swear about 10 seconds in I saw that A-pose model and thought "This had better be a f---king WIP map cause I am not paying money for a A-pose ragdoll filled map"
Hmm, but a scientist in original HL in Apprehension chapter said he never saw such being. Or maybe Black Mesa is so large so scientists don't know what happens in neighbouring complexes 🤔
@@sultim7570 I don't recall any scientist claiming this. The closest thing I can think of is the line where a scientist mentions that the itchyosaur was claimed to have been hauled from the challenger deep.
@@sultim7570 You’re right about scientists on the facility not knowing about the Xen Aliens, the reason scientists like Eli and Kliener are shocked when they see a headcrab in the Unforeseen Consequences is because people working in that sector had no idea that Xen even existed.
@@sultim7570 Literally it shows how little you know about half life lore, Xen and Xen creatures were sticky classified informations only available to the administrators and high ranking scientists hence access to Biodome Complex was only for high ranking employes and advanced research lab was off the records and with lambda being the most mysterious part of their facility.
HLA has kind of overshadowed fan games for now. When the dust settles and when it is finished talk about it with your friends. Lots of high quality work gets overlooked because the typical person will often automatically assume anything unofficial can't be up to par with the "real deal". Furthermore, anything that isn't advertised enough might as well not exist to the masses.
This is really great and gives an impression of a mid to late development stage, but I have a nagging feeling that it's much more than a few months away.
I know this comment is rather old, but worry not seeing how this has been in development for about 14-15 years now. I highly doubt a project that has been worked on this long and with so much content will be left to die.
Aha, don't think that I didn't notice how those bullsquid feet slide across the floor due to the animation's root motion not moving as fast as it should!
You need more PR / ads guys. Many people are still oblivious to your project and keep askign wether the Black Mesa dev team will make BS and OP4. I am sure this will change once, at the right development stage, you give interviews to the various gaming magazines.
People have been asking that for a decade. Tripmines PR have wastly improved the last few years. Best thing to do to get people to know about this project is just to share the videos, share the discord etc
Esto se sobrepasa de lo mejor Y no se compara con el black mesa ya que se notaban los píxeles y vértices (no mencionar las animaciones) Es mejor en animación, Maya, modelación, texturas etc En pocas palabras. Perfecto! ❤️
I'll would gladly paid $30 to $80 to play this game. If is out now. Nonetheless, the Ichthyosaur skeleton displayed at the top of the laboratory is spectacular and also make sense since that chapter in the original game, housed a lot of those creature to study and analysing that bought it back from the borderworld.
i'm glad you noticed, i meticulously created the skeleton bone by bone, studying dinosaur skeletons as a reference and drawing inspiration from the skeletons in animal crossing.
@@MagmaSloth64 All, I'll can say now. If you can make Xen chapter of We Are Not Alone even much better than the Crowbar Collective with more than an hour of gameplay. I'll will be applause to you, sir.
I like Black Mesa's music but damn this is also amazing. May I also point out how Tripmine is like Gearbox for Crowbar Collective sonxe these guys are doing te spinoffs. Also I hope y'all make Decay once Operation and the Blueshift remake are finished
The music sounds great! Very great ambience! But I want to know if it'll be like Half-Life and never loop (with exceptions), or will it continue to loop like games in other series?
Although it has been a while since I last played Opposing Force, I don't remember any location looking like that. I hope you guys aren't drawing too much inspiration from Black Mesa the fan made HL1 remake. Black Mesa changed too much overall by trying to be more of its own thing, which hurt the gameplay, look, lore and feel of it being a remake to HL1. You guys have already been doing outstanding work at remaking Opposing Force and Blue Shift so far, everything is very faithful and professional. I don't mind if pre-existing things are given some extra details to enhance them like Barney's new flashlight mechanic, just don't change the level design, lore, aesthetic of HL:OP and HL:BS like Black Mesa did. Everything you've all done thus far is excellent. Keep it up and take care everyone!
What assets could they use in a game like this in the first place? There is no aesthetic or thematic consistency between both games. And anyway, HLA assets would need a serious downgrade to run on Source. Those would lose lots of specialized effects and wouldn't look the same.

That Itchyosaur skeleton is really cool.

@@protocetid Don't you just hate that?
I like it, quite fitting with the feeling of hazardous and impressive facility rooms.
YES. I forced myself not to check the channel for a few months, and now there's so much to catch up on.
The last time I was this early Adrian Shephard was still in Boot Camp.
Now that Black Mesa is done, I can't wait for this, looks so good!
Crowbar collective should've thought about making a dlc of opposing force early
This is really great and gives an impression of a mid to late development stage, but I have a nagging feeling that it's much more than a few months away.
Years?
They been making this game for 15+ years . It ain’t coming out any time soon.
@@doyzerI420 I really doubt 15+ years. If I remember correctly there were two previous projects to remake Opposing Force, but those died.
Benjámin Kurilla if you go to the moddb.com they announced the mod in 2006-2007. 2021 would be right around 14-15 years.
This lobby looks really work in progress, but so promising! And these bullsquids with this music.... wow!
really hype for this 🖤

please please dont leave this project like most other hl mods. You guys seem capable of doing amazing things!

Great job! Keep it up. You're awesome!
Yes.
Hell yeah
Excellent!
Half Life universe has been blessed. The music, the gameplay - all of it, that made by actual fans, is perfect as it was since 1998
Keep up the good work! I’m dying to play some kind of a Blue Shift/Opposing Force remake after getting 100% of the achievements in Black Mesa

Is this possible technically to add shadows to characters? In this case I mean bullsquids
yep. shadows are just bugged at the moment
I hope the game will have more combat with Black ops soldiers than the original 1999
Yeah, and the HECU Marines should have lots of variants.
Quick question will these release on steam and if they do will we have to pay money for them
yes and yes
Will you guys port the game to Source 2 or stick with Source?
Sticking with Source
When is this game released?
2022 probably
In another 15 years.
Maybe 3013
I love how disgusting the bullsquids are. They made they kinda "scary cute" in BM which is certainly not accurate to the horrors they were in hl1
maybe you should hire joel neilson from the black mesa team
