4:04 even this scene with Jack pulling his broken sword out as a lightsaber out and the shot of Davy Jones approaching Elizabeth mirrored to make it look like he’s ready for another duel with Captain Sparrow. So seamless you’d think it was actually part of the movie

I'd like to point out, that not only did he add the light of the lightsabers glow on the people and environment, he also added steam for the rain hitting the llightsabers. 10/10 fantastic work, you put most of Hollywood to shame.
The crazy appearance and choreography of this specific fight and the science fantasy nature of Star Wars makes it legitimately seem like this could be a real spinoff. Like a backwater planet side story affected by but not affecting the main plot.
I actually wouldn't mind seeing something like this. But Disney would never make it. The swordplay choreography was elegant and well done like the prequels. A little Force action and I would have thrown my money at this.

The lightsaber combat is absolutely abysmal in the sequel trilogy, and it's just my opinion. I'm not looking for attention, I was just surprised that it looked better here than it did in the sequel trilogy. Don't be so salty over nothing.

Another thing that's missing is jack sparrow shooting his pistol like a blaster at Jones' hand to drop the chest because using a saber after getting the pistol makes no sense at all
Can we all appreciate how Smart Jack is? People underestimating him is honestly one of his strongest traits, seriously he tricks Jones to bring out the key because he knows he'll be cocky (much like Will did in _Dead Mans Chest)_ and then proceeds to slice the key off his face so he can get to it later
Considering the fact that Stormtroopers seem to drop like flies on a cold winter day the moment a Jedi enters the scene and thus; have zero chance to ever see a Jedi again, _every_ Jedi a Stromtrooper sees is the best Jedi he has ever seen.
The chest is made of Beskar metal, however, which is the same metal used by Mandalorians in body armor, which can resist blaster bolts, and even lightsabers!
Thought it was just gonna be a scene with lightsabers…but they even went through the trouble of making the cannon balls into lasers, making EVERY sword a lightsaber and using music too. This is legitimately one of the best ‘so and so movie with light sabers parody’ I’ve seen. Top quality work
Also it’s hard to tell whether the person who made this has a legit degree in CG entertainment, or just has unimaginable skill and a shit ton of time on their hands.
This is actually more logical lightsaber combat, like the OT. Fencing started being a thing because a slash of a sabre would cut you open since people were not wearing armor anymore... and the same thing happens with lightsabers. You side your torso and keep your weapon in front, with footwork being a major part of the "dance".

I've fenced my whole life. A single deflection and quick response to the closest body part would end it in no time. But watching the PT duels is gool af
Imagine if Pirates of the Caribbean and Star Wars were to be in the same universe along with Moana, Elena of Avalor, and Frozen (except they’re in different time periods)
I can actually imagine a Star Wars movie that takes place in either the extremely distant past or the extremely far future where space travel is rare if at all still possible and beings had to resort to older technology like sailing ships to try and survive on various worlds. Then, in the midst of all of that, the Jedi and Sith ideologies (possibly scrambled to the point we might not be able to recognize them as we currently do) still try to thrive as various individuals try to establish some form of dominance of one side on a planet, Jedi willing to go against Jedi and Sith against Sith if necessary due to the scrambled philosophies. It’s sort of like if Mad Max met Star Wars
Actually, If I got George Lucas' Original intentions for Star Wars correct, the Events of the Star Wars original Triology DO Happen in Our VERY Distant Past, Albiet in another Galaxy, hence "A Long Long Time ago, in a Galaxy Far Far away..." Considering the fact that lightsabers have all of their mass in the handle, captain Jack and Davy Jones are actually fencing more efficiently then any other jedi.
Fencing,the jedi use their own style,for example anakin uses form 5 the aggressive or offensive style while obi wan kenobi uses form 3 the defence style
Pirate form is the same thing but with different attributes for example captain jack sparrow uses his fencing form for offence while davy jones focuses on counter attack
I like the thought of the colors of the lightsabers. Jack’s saber is orange which indicates neutrality with the force. Will’s is blue for protection with the force and Barbossa is green for intelligence. And Davy’s is aqua because water.
For anybody who is always praising the first movie to be the best. I have been studying 1-3 and I constantly re-watch them. Pirates of the Caribbean does not go downhill in writing after the first movie. That is your business to believe that opinion everyone else goes with. Dead man’s chest gave the characters more depth! Elizabeth and William barely have anything to work with in the first movie. William’s relationship with his father that was hinted in the first movie of his father‘s existence. Paid off wonderfully. William’s character had way more in depth now and you have something to truly care about him for. You get both perspectives when you understand their Reunion! Bootstrap didn’t want Will to become a pirate like him, he wanted him to have a free life from the pirate life. William had a hard time accepting he was half Pirate but when he accepted his life and his father… He has a new journey to stab the heart of Davy Jones to set his father free. And you’re implying William is better in the first movie just because he wanted to save the girl he loved? William in the second movie now has Elizabeth as a lover. And now a new journey to rescue his father someone else he cares about. And this became a difficult situation when bootstrap told Elizabeth at world‘s end. William has to make a decision. Either don’t kill Davy Jones so he can be with you. Or he does kill Davy Jones and set me free, but he won’t be able to be on land for 10 years. If I were him I wouldn’t pick me! :/ The emotional weight on William’s character gets better and better. Elizabeth in the first movie was just a damsel in distress girl. She wasn’t useless in the first movie but you get the point. In the second movie, Elizabeth learned to wield a sword and she used it in the battle. She pulled a gun to Beckett‘s head.. went on her own journey to save will. She has grown a lot since the first movie who was just an innocent girl! Elizabeth got better as a character in 2 and 3! As for Jack sparrow. He does not become a joke at all in all 3 movies. Jack sparrow is at his best in the second movie and in the third movie. There was a moment in dead men’s chest… Where Jack didn’t know what he truly wanted so the compass couldn’t locate what he desired. So when Elizabeth went on her journey and then found Jack.. Jack used her for his advantage! He took advantage of Elizabeth’s feelings by telling her if you want to save Will you have to want to find the chest of Davy Jones! In order to get will back.. That’s why Jack gave her the compass. Jack knew if he couldn’t figure what he wanted out he was going to get it out of Elizabeth. Since Elizabeth now wants to find the chest of Davy Jones to save will. This gives Jack the huge opportunity to find the chest to stab the heart in it. But instead he wants to control DavyJones before killing him. Jack sparrow is not stupid! When will was trying to stab the heart towards the end of the second movie. Jack knows just because Davy Jones is dead, does not mean the Kraken will be stopped as well. And you’re telling me Jack is dumb after part 1?? As for Beckett. He was a well executed villain who uses dialogue and negotiation to control people. The Reason why Beckett didn’t fire his cannons at worlds end. Was because it would be totally out of his character to use weapons. Beckett uses certain words to get through people and how to control them behind the scenes. Beckett at the end of the movie had nothing left to negotiate with. Davy Jones was dead, Jack sparrow is alive and well. Will Turner is now the new captain of the Flying Dutchman. Beckett had literally nothing to use against on people. He was caught in shocked and he decided to die.. Anyways I could defend the Gore Verbinski’s Trilogy all night. His trilogy is an underrated trilogy. It had great character writing and amazing detail of its depth. Also Will vs Davy Jones!!! 😈😈😈 when Will challenging Davy Jones. Davy Jones asks him how do you know about the key? Will replies and says, that's NOT part of the game is it? 😏 You can STILL walk away!! 😏 As for pirates 4/5 they are not even Canon they are filler movies. The story ended at worlds end! ☠️

Thought it was just gonna be a scene with lightsabers…but they even went through the trouble of making the cannon balls into lasers, making EVERY sword a lightsaber and using music too. This is legitimately one of the best ‘so and so movie with light sabers parody’ I’ve seen.

This is actually more logical lightsaber combat, like the OT. Fencing started being a thing because a slash of a sabre would cut you open since people were not wearing armor anymore... and the same thing happens with lightsabers. You side your torso and keep your weapon in front, with footwork being a major part of the "dance".

The OT takes reference from Kendo, which again, is a form that comes from a time period in which a single slash was fatal, as would be with a lightsaber. If you gave two real people lightsabers and forced one of them to fight like in the prequels and the other to fight like a fencer or like in the OT, the second guy would win almost every single time. I've fenced my whole life. A single deflection and quick response to the closest body part would end it in no time. But watching the PT duels is gool af

I can actually imagine a Star Wars movie that takes place in either the extremely distant past or the extremely far future where space travel is rare if at all still possible and beings had to resort to older technology like sailing ships to try and survive on various worlds. Then, in the midst of all of that, the Jedi and Sith ideologies (possibly scrambled to the point we might not be able to recognize them as we currently do) still try to thrive as various individuals try to establish some form of dominance of one side on a planet, Jedi willing to go against Jedi and Sith against Sith if necessary due to the scrambled philosophies. It’s sort of like if Mad Max met Star Wars

Considering the fact that lightsabers have all of their mass in the handle, captain Jack and Davy Jones are actually fencing more efficiently then any other jedi.
Fencing,the jedi use their own style,for example anakin uses form 5 the aggressive or offensive style while obi wan kenobi uses form 3 the defence style
While captain jack sparrow is using pirate form is what I like to call
Pirate form is the same thing but with different attributes for example captain jack sparrow uses his fencing form for offence while davy jones focuses on counter attack

Any glowing animation added to a saber fighting scene boosts interest in watching the scene
I like the thought of the colors of the lightsabers. Jack’s saber is orange which indicates neutrality with the force. Will’s is blue for protection with the force and Barbossa is green for intelligence. And Davy’s is aqua because water.
If you read the intro it's blue because he's a rogue jedi and is tending to join the dark side, not because of water.
I thought it was more of a cyan blue....sorry I just got done with Fallen order and I have to say the colors are amazing

For anybody who is always praising the first movie to be the best. I have been studying 1-3 and I constantly re-watch them. Pirates of the Caribbean does not go downhill in writing after the first movie. That is your business to believe that opinion everyone else goes with.
Dead man’s chest gave the characters more depth! Elizabeth and William barely have anything to work with in the first movie. William’s relationship with his father that was hinted in the first movie of his father‘s existence. Paid off wonderfully. William’s character had way more in depth now and you have something to truly care about him for. You get both perspectives when you understand their Reunion! Bootstrap didn’t want Will to become a pirate like him, he wanted him to have a free life from the pirate life. William had a hard time accepting he was half Pirate but when he accepted his life and his father… He has a new journey to stab the heart of Davy Jones to set his father free.
And you’re implying William is better in the first movie just because he wanted to save the girl he loved? William in the second movie now has Elizabeth as a lover. And now a new journey to rescue his father someone else he cares about. And this became a difficult situation when bootstrap told Elizabeth at world‘s end. William has to make a decision. Either don’t kill Davy Jones so he can be with you. Or he does kill Davy Jones and set me free, but he won’t be able to be on land for 10 years. If I were him I wouldn’t pick me! :/ The emotional weight on William’s character gets better and better.
Elizabeth in the first movie was just a damsel in distress girl. She wasn’t useless in the first movie but you get the point. In the second movie, Elizabeth learned to wield a sword and she used it in the battle. She pulled a gun to Beckett‘s head.. went on her own journey to save will.
She has grown a lot since the first movie who was just an innocent girl! Elizabeth got better as a character in 2 and 3!
As for Jack sparrow. He does not become a joke at all in all 3 movies.
Jack sparrow is at his best in the second movie and in the third movie. There was a moment in dead men’s chest… Where Jack didn’t know what he truly wanted so the compass couldn’t locate what he desired. So when Elizabeth went on her journey and then found Jack.. Jack used her for his advantage! He took advantage of Elizabeth’s feelings by telling her if you want to save Will you have to want to find the chest of Davy Jones! In order to get will back.. That’s why Jack gave her the compass. Jack knew if he couldn’t figure what he wanted out he was going to get it out of Elizabeth. Since Elizabeth now wants to find the chest of Davy Jones to save will. This gives Jack the huge opportunity to find the chest to stab the heart in it. But instead he wants to control DavyJones before killing him. Jack sparrow is not stupid! When will was trying to stab the heart towards the end of the second movie. Jack knows just because Davy Jones is dead, does not mean the Kraken will be stopped as well. And you’re telling me Jack is dumb after part 1??
As for Beckett. He was a well executed villain who uses dialogue and negotiation to control people. The Reason why Beckett didn’t fire his cannons at worlds end. Was because it would be totally out of his character to use weapons. Beckett uses certain words to get through people and how to control them behind the scenes. Beckett at the end of the movie had nothing left to negotiate with. Davy Jones was dead, Jack sparrow is alive and well. Will Turner is now the new captain of the Flying Dutchman. Beckett had literally nothing to use against on people. He was caught in shocked and he decided to die..
Anyways I could defend the Gore Verbinski’s Trilogy all night. His trilogy is an underrated trilogy. It had great character writing and amazing detail of its depth.
