Because ever since the 80s that's what it was projected as in movies, shows, etc. so it kinda stuck with "future" looks lol.
No, the way things are going, the TSA isn't going let you take any clothing onto the plane and will say it is to protect us from terrorism. You'll have to wear a one piece outfit with airline logos all over it that you must buy at the terminal and that will cost you $50-$100 more than your ticket. You will be responsible for mailing your luggage to wherever you intend to go ahead of time and for mailing it back once your visit is done. Fortunately, the rates of lost luggage will go down when FedEx and UPS are in charge of luggage transport and delivery.
As a male former flight attendant (the industry has had male flight attendants since the early 1970's), I do not believe I would have looked good in any of these uniforms,

Javi Trulove late 60s and 70s ...when women started to make a stance. businesses wanted to seem like they weren't sexualizing women and that women had a voice. of course this is just my opinion ...I've picked my grandparents brains about every era they lived through haha
In the 60's, Braniff took the utilitarian look of flight attendants (and the basic look of the airliners) and dialed them up to distinguish them from the basic, colorless airlines of the day. The flight attendants would often start the flight in one outfit, then either shed layers or change to signal a change in climate. It was considered revolutionary.
What i'm Saying is.. do they really wore Gogo Boots on the 60's? or that sun hat o the 70's? Those things are bugging me a lot

I was thinking the same thing...like, I know that was the fashion then but I was initially a little skeptical especially with the 60s one. I mean, if that's how flight attendants dressed then that's freaking awesome
