Different but editing is easy. It is definitely not live - just listen to the instruments and they're identical to the studio album sound. They have access to all the master recordings so they can do things like cut vocals and edit song structure easily. No matter how many people refuse to believe it, for promo shows like this or Top Of The Pops, they do not play live even if the vocals are live.
It's a TV show, almost all the TV shows do this, guess it's better appear doing playback than don't appear at all. They obviously have access to their own recordings, so they can do whatever they want to with them.
