The ethics of shein is an ENTIRE can of worms because much of it is a gray area but I want to point out that many higher end brands use the same type of unethical labor practice that shein uses. It is very rare to see a high end/ expensive brand (or even a non-expensive, larger brand) with ethical business practices. Does that make it okay? Absolutely not, however saying something like "Oh i would never use Shein I use xyz high end brand" doesnt make sense because they are both two sides of the same coin, if that makes sense. Just do your research if you want to commit to sustainability :)
The reason I tend to avoid H&M :)))))))) I guess they are trying to become more ethical but I’ll believe it when I see it. I'm just worried about animal testing, shein is a Chinese company and if they want to sell internationally they must test on animals. "its official animal testing policy is not to test on animals except when required by law. If a brand is sold in mainland China, animal testing is required by law"
@@jessicaflaws7978 I thought it should be “if they want to sell in China they must test on animals”? Which means the same as what you said at the end actually
Yes, and we should also note that high-end brand's higher price point doesn't necessarily equal higher quality products, it usually just equals to higher profit margin for the brand themselves.
One fact people missed out about fast fashion is that it's not only about how fast they're goes in, but also how fast they go out. As long as we're not overconsuming this items, it should be fine still. Once we reduce our consumptions, they'll automatically reduce production as well. It's kinda tricky this whole conversation about shein and sheglam because not everyone can buy sustainable makeup and clothes since they tend to be very expensive, and pretty much a lot of other companies have the same unethical labor practice and we still buy from them (I live in Brazil and an example is companies like this are C&A, Marisa, Renner, Riachuello and many more). I don't have enough conditions to buy high-quality sustainable products, so I tend to buy from Shein because it's a lot cheaper, usually what I get is good quality and I know that I will be using it for a long time.

I know exactly how you feel about being conflicted ethics wise. The plus size shirts are so cheap and for the most part fit me really good, but the fast fashion ethics is hard to grapple with. I haven’t tried the makeup because I was worried about quality control, but the appeal is really hard to resist.
Weirdly enough, my first thought after you used the powder was "kabuki". Not because it looked like kabuki makeup, but because of the colored liners. Another 'Just Edward Show'?! YES PLEASE, THIS is what I live for! As for the brands, does it really make any visible difference unless you're buying from vegan brands who have the entire process of sourcing, manufacture, transport etc made ethical and sustainable?
It's kinda tricky this whole conversation about shein and sheglam because not everyone can buy sustainable makeup and clothes since they tend to be very expensive, and pretty much a lot of other companies have the same unethical labor practice and we still buy from them (I live in Brazil and an example is companies like this are C&A, Marisa, Renner, Riachuello and many more).
I don't have enough conditions to buy high-quality sustainable products, so I tend to buy from Shein because it's a lot cheaper, usually what I get is good quality and I know that I will be using it for a long time.
Just have to say.. this is the first time I’m seeing your videos and my god!!! I love the energy and the feeling of FaceTiming my best friend try out makeup but it’s informative af!!! I am so into this video a lot. It’s so refers have this type of makeup tutorial!! But anyways… love the vid 💕
Their liquid blush is SO cheap, but sooooo good !!!!
I really love the way your lip came out!
sheglam now has matte liquid blushes without glitter. I highly recommend them they are very cute

Please please give us an update on how your skin reacted to the products. Bc that's my main concern with cheap makeup. My skin breaks out easily

Can you do a video about all the procedures you got in Korea (surgery, filler, laser, etc) and say which one you recommend and which one you don't? :)

Thank you for doing this! I was always curious about the makeup line.
Girl that eyeliner gives me LIFE
Although Eddy's content with idols is cool, I have a soft spot for his beauty content, I really like it a lot. And while I personally don't like Shein or Sheglam products in general and all the stuff the productions and all, I do like that Eddy has played around with them a bit.
omg!! I was actually thinking of bying shein make-up but wasn't sure about the quality so thank you eddy lol
Less than 5 minutes…I THINK I LOVE YOUR VIBES

You’re so pretty 😭✨
seeing eddy shocked by the makeup just really fascinating lmao
I know exactly how you feel about being conflicted ethics wise. The plus size shirts are so cheap and for the most part fit me really good, but the fast fashion ethics is hard to grapple with. I haven’t tried the makeup because I was worried about quality control, but the appeal is really hard to resist.
Resist please ;-; I know it's really tempting but :(
Al fin nuevo vídeo ! HI FROM PUERTO RICO LATIN! ❤️
Instead of Vaseline use aquaphor it’s less clogging and more soothing and don’t use a thick layer it’ll heat up your face cuz your face can’t breathe
Second this.
Whats the aquaphor for? But use Vaseline since it’s cold out and my lips are dry
@@yasmineguerin2852 aquaphor has not only petroleum jelly but panthenol which is soothing and repairing vitamin b5

Weirdly enough, my first thought after you used the powder was "kabuki". Not because it looked like kabuki makeup, but because of the colored liners. I think it would be cool if you did some kind of stylized makeup using those liners - not just on the eye, but as accents on other parts of the face as well. Think video game!
I just came across you and this video and I love your vibe ✨💓💓 love the makeup! The packaging is so cute for the price too lol I would have bought some too
the ‘IM NOT A MAKEUP ARTIST’ cracked me up😂😂
it's legit my fav brand
my faveeee type of content love to see it💕
I really want you to do the make up on NU'EST REN .. your taste and his look, OMG .. that would be a blast !!
we miss thiskind of content edward
This is so enjoyable and it makes me want to buy Sheglam
