@ it’s an RPG which stands for role-playing game. Every RPG, including past entries of dragon age have an allowed you to be a villain or do evil acts because it is quite literally that a role-playing game you get to make your own destiny. It’s not that people want to be evil because they’re evil in real life, it’s the option of letting you explore different dialogues in different paths to create different memories of the game for instance, when I play fallout new Vegas I usually side with yes man but there is an option where you’re allowed to side with Caesars Legion a dictatorship that trades slaves and murders anyone that doesn’t agree with them do I like their faction? No but having the option to be someone you normally aren’t makes RPGs
@ it’s as if you were playing a Star Wars game and they gave you the ability to be a Sith lord i’m sure a lot of people would pick Jedi, but there are people that would Sith Lord this would create new dynamics of different storylines and dialogue options as well as new missions and possibly even new endings to a game you’ve already beaten
@ it does genuinely baffle me that you asked that question though is this your first dragons game you’ve played? If so I can see why you’d frame the question the way you did however RPGs have been around literally forever being bad is just an opinion another example would be RED DEAD REDEMPTION you can be a white hat which is good or black hat for outlaw I really don’t have to say much more then that

Let alone popularity being a metric of quality (define that how you will). I’m tired so thought I’d comment.
Trust me, for a large corporate entity like EA, player count and sales are very important. The amount of money that was sunk into this game was astronomical, and they need to make that money back or BioWare may go the way of Firewalk Studios in the very near future.

I beg someone to start a new gaming review company and actually be objective no one wants dragon age because the development team ruined it you can’t even be a bad guy in the game and the story is trash hardly any dialogue options that have actual choice behind the game sucks and people are getting tired of these bogus reviews
why would you want to play as a villain? genuine question. i don’t see the appeal.
If so I can see why you’d frame the question the way you did however RPGs have been around literally forever being bad is just an opinion another example would be RED DEAD REDEMPTION you can be a white hat which is good or black hat for outlaw I really don’t have to say much more then that
@ i still don’t get the appeal, but thanks for answering honestly
what a joke and what a shame that you call yourselves journalists
IGN high key trolling/owning the comment section with facts. You love to see it! ❤️ 👀. Dragon Age, Black OPs, etc. killing it this week. Deal with it! 😂😂😂
I can't say that I hate Veilgaurd...but Bioware dropped the ball in many ways with it.
BioWare, we bow to thee
I got a picture of Richard Pryor
Deleting posts again IGN?...😂
Now do black myth wukong😂
Just for reference, Space Marine 2, a game with a fraction of the budget that Veilguard had, peaked at 225,000 concurrent players. You can spin Veilguard's numbers anyway you please to polish them up, but in terms of raw sales, it isn't looking good.
It's weird, but Dragon Age Veilguard is actually good. I try it 1hour in my friends house and I'm kinda hook. Like I want to see where is leads. The combat aint elden ring but it looks cool.
This the type of dude to deliberately use your wrong pronouns so he can cause a big scene pulling a barve, lecturing you on how virtuous his apology is while also hoping you don't notice he could only do 4 push-ups.
So how's Concord doing?
Why would I waste money on something as boring as Veilguard? When boredom is already a free thing in everyday life
Game is amazing!!! The art style, the graphics, the combat, the level design, the characters 🎉. Mass effect meets dragon age
GTA Online for PC should have had all those features wayyy before. If anything, add DLSS or FSR and animals for online since RDR2 was able to do it.
IGN really think this game will outsell GTA 5 😂😂
And I like both games.
This guys face looks digital. IGN has taken a shit…what happened
While I understand the obsession with steam numbers, play numbers aren’t an indicator of enjoyment. Based on review bombing, neither are review scores. It’s like RUclips or TikTok views, could be made up of multiple people, or bots, viewing multiple times. Popularity by number doesn’t necessarily work.
Why are you guys advertising for EA if the game is "good"?
Loving veil guard so far!!!
ah yes it beat a notoriously broken pc port. According to digital foundry jedi survivor is "unacceptably poor' and "the worst port of 2023".
such success. much veilguard.
Atleast it's a sign that nobody wants denuvo.
Beating star wars doesnt mean much lately. Game still not impressive. BG3 will still BODY this game.
Been playing all day good to me people just herd followers now, just to make they life better
Fact is this game is a fail. Even in sales. Then you have outlets like IGn that are telling us it sold better on Steam then the previous Dragon Age. But what they don't tell you is that the previous Dragon age came to steam 5 a 6 years after release🤭 Just a small detail.
Player numbers on steam was at a al time high at 70.000 on release. While other games this year. Not even AAA games had a peak player count of 250.000+ players and even 300.000 plus players. Now on Metacritic the unbought and honest reviews come out. Players give it a 3.3 out of 10.
You can twist it all you want IGN. Your not honest reviewers. You are bought by the big companies. It's all about money for you. And not the truth.
That's why people hate you.
I enjoy both .
Only because it’s an rpg and most gamers are suckers for rgs…
Who’s says EA in full. Weird.
Did it beat black myth wukong?
the problem with tattoos is that any nerd gets one now, so it just looks foolish to get
Is it better than alien: isolation?
what joke journalism this is
Trash ahhh game
Haha IGN why you do this?
Stop defendinh ppls with mental problems.
