He's 28 years old now, in 2 years he'll be a 30 year old rookie if he makes the move to motogp. If he was going to be competitive in the class he would/should have made the move already, 2-3 years ago. Maybe it's time to realise that he's a great superbike rider, but he won't be a great motogp rider. And that's ok.
Could someone please explain something for me? So not a big follower of the sport, have a bit of riding experience but not much. I noticed they all kick their legs out and slide the tarmac with the heel. This struck me as it is one of the things I have learned to not do as it could injure you. The only time I had to do this is when I locked the rear like a noob noticing my as* was catching up with the front. Would that be the reason? They are pushing too hard? Also, I went back watching other motogp and noticed everyone really adopted this riding style around 2018. Does anyone know what made them change said technique or was it a rider in particular?

2024 MM93 GP23 1:57.3 had a YAMAHA blocking in the way right at the front of MM93 in the corner... 2023 F Bagnaia GP23 1:57.491....you can see who is the king.
