Very interesting. Now that I am home I may have a play with this, after I finish doing all the laundry, of course! I like the bright tropical colorway the best, but the grey and red one reminds me of a dity scape. It is quite nice too.

I have done this using a store card but I did it just cleaning off my pallet onto a painty paper. I have always wanted to use a spatula to paint like artists do but heck you did it with a squeegee!!! Awesome!!! And I LOVE your favorite too. But the orange yellow and black was awesome too!! I’m loving some of the other examples you showed. Can’t wait to try!! Thanks so much for sharing and as always I greatly appreciate all the effort you put into creating content for us and researching new ideas to try!! 😍😍😍😍 Thanks and hugs!!!

This is one of the 1st times I've been excited about trying an abstract technique. This looks like so much fun. Really love the 1st one you showed-the one you love as is. Beautiful. The others are nice as well. I have really enjoyed these last few months prompts. I know you mentioned earlier that someone had said it was to difficult, and if one person said it a few more were probably thinking it but I have been thoroughly enjoying them. It's always nice to mix it up.

Thanks so much for your lovely comment Ash, you’ve made my day 💕. Its been a fun couple of months and I’ve enjoyed trying some new ideas. This was a nice one to finish the prompt off with as anyone can have a go at this and its fascinating seeing what you can achieve with each stroke of the squeegee. There’s been lots of wonderful posts in the group already. Have a fabulous week 💕💕💕

I love the outcome of this technique. Your favorite piece (and mine) in the opening of the video looks to me like a silhouette of a person standing on a balcony or bridge with reflections in the water below. This piece has so much depth, absolutely lovely - I'd frame it! Thanks for sharing. Ann

I love those❤ The grey one I would doodle on, as you said and the colourful one would look brilliant as background with a black and white image pn top. The more old fashioned the better. The contrast between modern and old would look great. The gold one, I can definitely see a city scape, but the water scape looks intriguing. I will have a go with a credit card😊

I bought a Richter print at SF MOMA because I fell in love with the colors and texture. Hi Nina. Oh gosh, the first one (blue/green) and the one in black, red and gold are both AMAZING! I think you should keep them just as they are and frame them... but a very simple frame that would not distract from the painting. The blue/green in a landscape orientation and the red/gold in a portrait orientation. The grey/pink one should look good as an abstract landscape (like you said) or, if you decide to doodle on it, I would do it with a brighter colour. Let's face it... I don't know much about art and colour compositions... but I know when I like something and I LIKE these... I'm off to the shop tomorrow to buy a squeegee!! 😊💕

A squeegee such as yours, looks like so much fun to experiment and play with. I have a large mixing bowl scraper that I use for this technique. Will keep an eye out for a small one like yours. I ha e avoided them because the pieces are always too hefty and “clunky” feeling for creating art. Love all your pieces with their lovely color arrangements.

I am on the look out for a simpler squeegee, mine was one I had lying around the house which had originally been used for cleaning showed screens. Just use what you have though Cheryl, I am sure a piece of sturdy plastic food packaging will do a great job. This is such a f7n technique and one I will definitely revisit 💕

Diamond, find a cheap one that bends well. Sometimes, hardware stores will print their name on it, and then they are even cheaper! Enjoy the hunt. Happy December and enjoy the holidays.

Nina, thank you, I love your work!
When I see the first piece that you showed, the "Monet Waterlilies:" In addition to the water and lilies I also see Monet's Giverney house at the top right. Same pink as his home, and teal as in the shutters! Do you see it as well? So Beautiful! Cheers!!

Hello Judith, I had to go and have another look at the painting as I hadn’t noticed, but yes, I can see the house too 💕

Very cool Nina. I always either use a gift card or palette knife. I must try the squeegee. (Hope that's spelled right, lol)

You get a different result with the squeegee (yes, you spelled it right). Hope you’ll give it a try 💕

Thanks Libby, I scan them initially so I can use them as backgrounds and then frame them 💕
