- New bike day here on the Ozarks Backroads Channel. A day spent riding my new 2024 Honda Transalp along some southern Missouri creeks and streams. Also information on my 2025 meet and greet in Eminence Missouri on June 27,28 and 29...

Nice new bike Jon, I think you've picked a winner. Just hate to see the old Triumph go. A fine video too, just a shame the ice turned you around. I'm sure cabin fever was getting the best of you, especially with the new bike in the garage begging to be ridden. Keep up the good work, see you in the next one!

Just put cruise on mine this last week. It works great. Also got motorcycle car play unit so my phones not on the bars. Highly recommend. Trans alp is a good touring bike for me, you can get on the big road and really fly if you need to.

Good to see you and the new bike. I really like the Transalp. It and the new Ibex 800 E (love the upgrades over the previous model) are on my short list. Trading in the 450 this year and have been looking at those 2 bikes, but also some others like the Yamaha Tracer 9. Not sure what I'll do, but the Transalp sure is a good bike. Looking forward to your vids this riding season.

I love the sound of that TA750.
The way I understand it or it was explained to me is that the transalp has a higher performance output to it over the africa twin witch has a little mellower linear output witch is what pushed me towards it and what I ended up going with, but watching you navigate the transalp it did not look to lunge forward or cut out on you seemed vary smooth with a usable first gear.
I rode over to the Rainbow Trout Ranch and tried the smoked trout well worth the trip on my route through Glade Top area.
Thank you for your videos it helps me find new places to go and experience in my area.

Hey, I bought a Transalp in December. Rode it for the first time today. The Veridian Cruise Control kit I installed seems to work great! Enjoy the bike!

Some of those low water slabs are like ice year round. I have been down in the water a few times because of them.
Me too, I dropped a brand new Yamaha FJR1300 on a low water bridge one time... really hurt my feelings... :)

Hey Jon, I like the way you are outfitting your TA , I stopped a the dealer last week and sat on one , had a really nice feel I thought vs the Africa Twin that was right beside it , different bikes but I am thinking the Trans Alp may be a good replacement for my 650 vstrom adventurer although it would be hard for me to part with it too.
Do you still have your Ibex 800 ?

My Strom is outfitted similar to yours . Would it work for your meet and greet ? I have trailmax missions and like them but have been thinking a more aggressive like the eo7 plus
Great to hear from you sir, I also used to run the Missions on my V-Strom 650XT. Very good tires and long lasting... I think the Missions would be ok for Eminence. I rode my V-Strom with Mission tires all over the country over there and I am still alive.... Looking forward to meeting you... thanks for watching... :)
This is a nice bike but isn't it pretty much in the same category as the ibex 800?
Hello there sir, good to hear from you... both bikes are adventure bikes for sure... The Transalp is much more capable off road and much lighter than the Ibex. The Transalp is as comfortable as the Ibex on the highway in my opinion... thanks for watching... :)

Hello, I have a question about the cf moto 800mt. Do you know what to do to stop it from jerking at low revs in 1st and 2nd gear?
Hello there sir, good to hear from you. Yes the low speed fueling on the Ibex is really bad. You can get your ECU remapped with a proper fuel map here... teammscparts.com/products/team-msc-ibex-800t-ecu-tune

Congrats on the new bike John. I've been eyeing those for a while now. I like the clean slate bike that I get to add my own improvements to. That shallow rake will make off road riding much more enjoyable. Do you follow oem break-in recommendations, or just jump on and let er' rip?

How does the transalp compare to the ibex.
Great to hear from you sir, The Transalp is a lighter bike than the Ibex and is much easier to handle off road. On road the Transalp is pretty comparable to the Ibex in comfort and wind protection.... thanks for watching sir... :)
