I think Pen and the whole France plot line would take it a little bit too far. But I love the essence of the idea! I sure hope there will be some interesting conflict between her and the Queen. After all, you can't just antagonize the lead of an entire country without severe consequences.

I think she'd just be happy to have the independence of running a household and having a companion who when present is not oppressive. She may be a patron of the arts or philanthropist, run a finishing school for upcoming debutantes, or perhaps become a favorite of the Queen at court, bc her husband wouldn't miss her at home etc.
To me, it's more plausible to think that the real story behind Lord Anderson and Lady Danbury is that when she reached her debut to enter the marriage mart, Lord Anderson promised her hand to the retch of a man that we know is Lord Danbury. We know there was no love between them in Queen Charlotte, and this is perhaps why she still holds animosity until the present events of Bridgerton
I have the feeling that the family is being set up for much more as show progresses. I predict their oldest son will eventually be Hyacinth's love interest. We get a hint in Season 3 at Colin and Penelope's engagement party. Gregory tells Mondridge's eldest (Baron of Kent) not to pay attention to Hyacinth... little easter egg perhaps. 😊
I wanna know why Lady Danbury assumes the worst of her brother, and why they have beef? I am soooooo glad they kept the Mondrich fam. I was afraid they'd disappear with the Duke. Will be sad if they aren't in subsequent seasons. I'm attached. I also hope Cressida marries Debling and they're happy and once the family pressure is off she mends fences with Penelope, not just Eloise and Penelope reconciling. I want full redemption for her. It weirds me out that Violet could end up with the brother of the woman who had an affair with her father, and just after they've both gotten back on track since that awkward revelation.... I want Violet to have her Second Act, but steamy not just sweet, bc women over 40 are still sexy and sexual. I also wonder if the Featheringtons will disappear after this season. But that makes me sad bc they're so funny this season, but I have no idea how they'd keep them relevant down the line either. Maybe if Portia got a love story after Violet... I will be sad to see them go. Aesthetically and comedically. Maybe she and Lady Danbury can be lovers and scheme together....
I haven't read the books, only heard other people talk about them. The shows ARE deviating from the books, so anything is possible! I really love your Cressida prediction, though. I feel like that would work really well ❤ (side note, Lord Debling and Prudence Featherington are an irl couple 😊)
I believe Cressida will go to the Queen to say she's Lady Whistledown to procure the money but the Queen won't believe her, Pen will write a new LW piece to say as much and in turn go to the Queen quietly to reveal herself after confessing to Colin and Eloise. Because Pen confesses and goes to the Queen, Colin and Eloise in turn will forgive her. The Queen will then work with Pen and they will in turn keep her true identity a secret only to keep LW in the future seasons/storyline since it's such a pinnacle of the show. I know there's talk that since the real Queen Charlotte passed in 1818 the Queen won't be in future seasons and in turn that might work to Pen's benefit to keep her identity secret to the Ton.
Well no one is gonna get it 100% unless theyve got insider info since they're not following the books exactly, but you got quite a few that I wasn't anticipating so good job!

my guess is that benedict is going to want something more with tilley arnold and she'll rebuff him. we can see he's actually trying to court her, like dancing at balls and bringing her flowers, but she's putting up a wall to keep their relationship purely physical. she might be his sienna, his big heartbreak. she makes him realize that he's not actually fulfilled with casual flings, and he does desire true love and possibly marriage even if he hates the society marriage mart. enter: sophie beckett
So many subplots no ever in the book. It is SHOCKING how much tĥe books are changed. I love that they are updated, but don't put it into the ridiculous being so woke every single point, plot, person, has to make some kind of impression on people. Too much at one time and your mind will just not accept it.
