TRIP REPORT: A Red Eye flight from Honolulu HNL to San Francisco SFO with United Airlines

TRIP REPORT
After spending a wonderful time on the island of Oahu is it time to fly back home. Our first flight will be a so called "red eye" flight departing 23:30 from HNL . The flight time is a little more than 4 hours and we will land about 6 in the morning local time at SFO.
We fly Economy Plus but we sit in Economy Premium. When we booked our seats we noticed the Premium seats were sold as Economy Plus on this flight.

I flew United airlines, Boeing 777-300ER for the 1st time in March of 2022 from Honolulu to San Francisco, but on UA724 and the flight is good and okay, 4 and a half hours.

Those 4-5 hour redeyes are just long enough to get a brief sleep and wake up even more tired! But the price is usually nice.

Not being 20 anymore we were a bit afraid this flight would be a bit challenging but it worked well, no red eyes:>)

How much did you pay to fly United airlines to San Francisco? I am curious, is that round trip and how many hours did you sleep on the plane?

The trip was paid with mileage points. We used our SAS Eurobonus points to pay for the trip, something we can do with companies within the Star Alliance. We paid extra for the the economy plus seats and as I mentioned in the video, the United Premium Plus seats were sold as Economy Plus. I guess I slept for about an hour or two
