So love the outcome of your "new" porch decorations. The first rooster and hen decoupage idea looked so cute because their little faces were so perfectly framed. Wouldn't it be fun if you could find another similar window and make another out of it? The one you made for your husband turned out perfectly, though, and looked especially good next to the wall color.
Thank you so much! Yes, I loved those little faces peeking through the window. I might just have to do that. I could hang it next to it. Thanks so much for watching and for your comment! Blessings on your week! 😁
Thanks so much! I figured if I asked him I should take his opinion right? 😜 I will use the other one somewhere very soon! 😁 Thanks for watching and for commenting! Blessings!
@OpenHandFarm of course! I've driven past your beautiful house from the main rd for a couple of years. I finally turned to see the house closer and fell in love!!! I knew I had to look you guys up, and it didn't disappoint! Glad I found you. Hope to run into you sometime!
Well, darn it, knock on the door next time! I can’t promise the house will be clean or that there won’t be a huge canning project going on or that the kids won’t be screaming and crying, but we would love to have you! 😁
Your porch is truly inviting and warm and pretty. It is also full of meaningful things that really warm it up for company. I loved the sweet chicken couple so much and I'm sure you'll find a lovely spot for them and think that Marks' choice was so nice considering the colors of the porch and window frame. On to the meaningful - loved the saying you had posted about caring for God's people! I finished reading my daily dose of good and was looking at Matthew 24. 12 when I thought of you. I needed to see what you had posted today and seems we had similar thoughts this morning. I thought of all the people you care for and how happy it makes you. I thought how you are such a great inspiration and example for others and that verse fit you perfectly. I never want the wickedness of the world to weaken my care for others but it sure is a hard fight - at least until I watch you on Sunday mornings. Thank you for being a north star for me! The cushion you made reminds me so much of the long ago crazy quilts and how the women must have had fun putting them together. They become a playground for my imagination as I walk along their paths and see the tiny treasures along the way.
Oh Mary, I wish I could make you understand what a light you are to me! You are such an encouragement! You always have just the right words to say that I need to hear. Yes, the wickedness of this world definitely tries to creep its ugly head in. I pray daily that all that I do would bring God glory. Thank you so much again for your kind words and the inspiration that you give me. I am so blessed by you! Yes, I thought about the cushion looking like a crazy quilt and can only imagine piecing all of those together. This took long enough. I can’t imagine doing the other. A quilter I am not. I have tried. One weekend I started a 24 hour lap quilt. That was 12 years ago and it’s still not completed. Maybe someday! 😜 Blessings on your week sweet friend!
The porch turned out beautifully, it's so welcoming and functional, love it.
Thanks so much, Shari! Now I just need the weather to stay cooler again. 😁

I love your porch! I would of chose the hen and rooster but the one your husband chose looks great with the color of the house. ❤
