Hi Penny! You have been very busy girlfriend! Same thing here... LOL! We are also preparing for winter and have been double busy! Really appreciate your recipe for the sweet potatoes! Something new to try. It is nice to have a variety to choose from on our pantry shelves... thank you! Blessings on your family and your homestead sweet friend!🌻🐛🌿💚🙏💕👵
I have Carolyn! I bet you have been as well! It’s just kind of a busy time of year. I keep telling myself “I’ll take a few minutes in December.” Of course then in December, I’ll tell myself. “I’ll take a few minutes in January.” Which I probably can since I won’t be out in the garden, but actually, I’ll be videoing every meal for the pantry challenge. That always keeps me on my toes! So basically I’ll just keep busy!🤣🤣🤣 I hope you enjoy the sweet potatoes like we do. Blessings on you and your family as well sweet friend! 🤗🥰🥫
Hi Penny.👋 I've missed out on a couple of your videos as I've been preparing for a house full last weekend, 14 of us at times, won't be doing that again.😊 We had a great Friday night with our own raised lamb with Ceasar salad, a few drinks and then a bonfire weekend with food and fireworks in one of our fields. I am, if course, sitting folding laundry wirh my coffee as I enjoy watching all your wonderful efforts - 79lbs - your sweet spuds are looking beautiful and very tasty. My house is just about back together and I'm looking forward to coffee and a chat with a friend this morning once my jobs are done. Have a lovely day, friend.❤
It sounds to me like you are ready for a coffee and chat with a friend! I bet that weekend was a lot of work, but I bet it was wonderful! We had a friend give us a lamb roast that was already cooked and it was amazing! I can only imagine eating your own, knowing how it was raised and processed. What a blessing that must be! I’m so glad you’re getting your laundry done! 🤣 What would life be without clean laundry? I need to be doing some of that myself. It’s so good to hear from you Louise and I hope you have a restful rest of your day. Blessings my friend! ❤️🤗
I'm so happy for you with that wonderful food pile-o-jars! Beautiful sight.I've never tried to pre-sweeten my sweet taters and never canned oj before but have no good reason not to do it now while your inspiration is still fresh - thank you so much.
I had never done them either, Mary! But oh my goodness, I’m glad I did. We opened a jar of the potatoes that did not seal, my fault, I filled it too full and the syrup spilled over. They were so delicious! I will actually next time drain the juice off and mash them and add a little butter and oh my goodness…I can’t wait! Blessings on your sweet friend! 🤗❤️
Those purple potatoes are gorgeous.
Thanks so much, Roberta! They make me happy! Blessings, my friend! 🤗
