I've had the GTO 3000 version for over 15 years without any performance issues. I think mostly because I have both battery slots in use and they are connect to a solar panel rather than hard wired to an AC source (I've heard of boards frying due to power surges).
Anyway, our remotes and keypad stopped working out of the blue on Tuesday, but the gate would still work if we drove by the sensor wand buried by the driveway about 80ft from the box.
No storms or other forces of nature that could have caused it. Or so I thought... it was the f'n squirrels that chewed on the wire from the transmitter unit... like the one you replaced in this video.
Everything worked great after repairing the wire.
Just thought I'd share this info because it was your video that helped me focus more on the transmitter, and its wiring, as culprit rather than starting by troubleshooting a bunch of other stuff. Saved me a buncha time. Thanks for that!

Good process. I would have liked to see how the indicator leds were flashing or not flashing and any special pattern of flash. This would be starting with a fresh reset, on/off/on condition first. Especially the receiver led. Next, watching leds when you key the opener. Last, when it fails or doesn't work. After replacing the receiver/antenna device, note the 3 conditions again, reset, key opener, gate open work/not work.
    FYI
Mine failed with gate 80% open, gate stopped opening. The 25 amp fuse was blown. I got the Status Ed and beep x 3, but gate arms no action. I replaced fuse after checking 19vac in and 13.75vdc at battery. I keyed opener, fuse did not blow, but 3 beep/led flash constant until I reset again. Also, the receiver led has a difficult pattern to count.
I don't know yet if this is normal or a problem.

That was super helpful. I have a 5 series Mighty Mule that just stopped working. I'm guessing I'm having the same issue so I'll replace the transmitter and see what happens. Any way to test the transmitter before replacing it?

I'm sure there is but I don't have diagnostic equipment to do that.

@@carmotion101 update, I bought a new control module, called MM and had no luck with their tech support. I put the new one in the box, hooked up the old one and it worked just fine. Strange. They did tell me if you don't use their solar panel it can cause issues.

Check the fues and the power Transformer that is plugged 🔌 in. Most likely the board is not getting power or it is faulty and will need a whole new circuit board.

you have to be right on gate before remote will work, I have a couple remotes for family members and i have replaced batteries in them all , none work if more than 1 ft from gate.

That sounds like a problem with your Antena. U do have to be close like 10 to 15 ft but 1 foot is a problem.
