All the members have pre-debut trailers which are small 1 or 2 minute videos of them either singing or rapping songs that they made or were made for them!
Not like full-on release solos but Dosie has a couple of solo songs. 1 pre-debut one called "Single" and a song called "Film" produced by one of her soundcloud producer friends. Goeun and Swan also both have done OSTs. Goeun: "Dream On" and "Fly". Swan: "Absently" and "Burning"
Goeun has done covers on Purple Kiss YT channel such as Younha's Event Horizon, IU's Dear Name as well as New Jeans' Ditto with fellow Purple Kiss member and main dancer Dosie.
i really recommend checking out their bsides, a few of them have performance videos: pretty psycho, can we talk again, oh my gosh, cursor, my heart skip a beat, and love is dead.
The member with purple hair in the debut song Ponzoña is Goeun. She's the most well-known member as she was on Produce 48 and was ranked 29th. That could be the reason she's mostly in the center. Purple Kiss has 3 main vocalists: Swan, Goeun and Chaein. Btw, Swan was the one who composed Ponzoña as trainee evaluation and it was chosen as their debut song. Lastly, Purple Kiss has no leader. There was another member who was supposed to be their leader but she left the company before they could debut so the members agreed that they would not have a leader.
Oh my goodness, yet another incredible idol that was on P48!! I honestly need to do a deep dive of that show and where everyone ended up! WOW, Swan's talent as a writer/producer is so amazing. That's incredible that her trainee evaluation was chosen as their debut! I like that they don't have a leader, though. That's a cool dynamic to see. Thanks for watching and sharing this info about PURPLE KISS! 💚
@@KPopwithKhadija Yeah there were 96 trainees on PD48 so there were tons of talent on show. I'm sure it's not too difficult to find what the PD48 trainees are currently doing.
All of the title tracks from Ponzona to Sweet Juice have the dark witchy vibe which is part of what makes them special to me. They have not done as well commercially as their talent and song quality deserves, so I think the lable decided to try a mainstream song with 7th Heaven, and of course they did it well, but I hope they go back to dark concepts with the next comeback. When you do Zombie (their second title track) be sure to watch the Halloween version as well as the regular. Also with both memeM and Nerdy there are several story videos that came out first giving the witchy back ground.
They don't have a leader, decisions are made through a democratic process (though many people confuse the eldest for a leader; used to be Jieun, now it is Goeun). Depending on the task at hand, different people take charge: Dosie and Ireh for dance, Swan and Goeun for vocals, Chaein for composition and Yuki for rap. However, "featured a lot, very prominently in the center" is not a "leader" role in Kpop, it is "center". Leader is supposed to make sure the group's activities are done, resolve conflicts, speak for the group in official capacity, protect the members, represent the group in discussions with the company and other companies, and in general keep the group ticking. Center is the member who is most impactful in the performance, and is usually literally in the center of the formation the most. For a hopefully familiar example: in Itzy, Yeji is the leader, but it is Ryujin who is the center.
Ooh, I like that! That's very cool that each of the members have strengths and they all step up as needed to lead in different roles. Yeah, I understand what a leader is. I guess what I was trying to say is, for the debut, I was wondering if they intentionally made her the center *because* she was also the leader? I dunno why I got leader energy from her, just through the video. But maybe I was picking up on her being older? I dunno it was just a vibe! hahah
Hey Khadija we got a new wheein album and I would to see you react to her title track “in the mood” and her bside collab with Hwasa “17” I can’t wait for your reaction!! 😍😍

My favorite is Can We Talk Again, i think that song really brings up their vocals
Thanks for sharing! I'll make a note of that one. Their vocals are truly... 😍😍

Ooh, I feel like they'd have a lot of fun b-sides. They can probably do so many styles and genres with those vocals. I'll try to check some out soon!
I sooo recommend checking out all their intros, they're very unique and GORGEOUS so so addicting!
Ooh! Thanks for the recommendation! 💚
Thanks for the Purple Kiss reaction ! So many good songs and especially their b-sides are covering a variety of genres :)
Thank you for watching! I'd love to hear some of their b-sides and see what else they do!
