You should REALLY check out their stage practices, stage practices are like dance practices expect they sing it LIVE as they are dancing. Their earlier songs don't have stage practices but from "Young dumb stupid" and on they have them for almost every song
Also they are INSANE dancers
Ive followed nmixx since their debut, now i ult them. Their hate train was INSANE. it lasted up until love me like this. no one denied their talent (they are RENOWNED for being one of the most vocally talented active groups), but my god people hated the music. the experimental will always alienate the general commercial audience, but it had a very clear effect on the members' self esteem and energy. they were all extroverts except 1 when they debuted, and now half of them are introverts. on bubble multiple members would thank those who liked them while demeaning themselves or saying how low they feel - I remember once Haewon (leader) sent a voicenote saying "thank you for liking me even though I am nothing". Haewon's appearance in the "secret classmate" video also comes to mind. As a fan who lived through those times it makes me so happy and emotional to see how loved they are now without sacrificing what made their music unique. Haewon is one of the most beloved entertainment personalities in the industry, and NMIXX has become synonymous with live vocals, constantly showing utilising them and being unafraid to show off their skills in new vocal arrangements and acapella. Their past few releases have been hit after hit. Im so proud of them.
the hate train they had in the debut era was so insane, i still remember people saying they didnt deserve fans (just because they thought the songs were bad??)

I really enjoyed this video, it's always fun to see people go through NMIXX's discography and be surprised to see that there's actually a fair bit of variety in their sounds. I personally love all their songs as I have a pretty wide music taste. You should definitely check out their live stages I recommend their set at BST Hyde Park or their I-Days Milano 2024 set, they're both on the official NMIXX channel so should be easy to find.
Haewon is also a main vocal alongside Lily! Her skill is essentially on par with Lily's, Lily just has a more clear and resonating voice and I believe she trained her voice a bit longer.

yeah I'm not even super into them as a group I really just listen to their music occasionally but even I remember how much hate they got for o.o 😭 like it was insane how much people hated that song and the whole mixxpop concept, but I've always liked it. I think it's really interesting how they use that in their music and their mvs are always great too
one thing I always love seeing new nmixx listeners react to is their stage practices, and they're so impressive I would love to see you watch those too!

There's been a reaction drought lately and I'm sad that it's happening 😭
NMIXX's predebut era and anouncement videos were really hyped up and everyone could see they were all rounders (you should check those videos out, they won't let you down!). But the debut response was just an all out war and a massive hate train...
The way they handled the change up in the MV made it more intrusive than it is in the audio, and it wasn't clear to anyone what was going on. I'm a huge fan and at the time I was very confused, thinking the lyrics "this is just a teaser, the real is coming soon" were a way of saying that O.O was just a way of showcasing how versatile they are and not how their whole concept and music were gonna be.
They improved the delivery of the concept with time, and got to be the group we all love!!! But it is insane to remember the power this group had back then, it felt like the entire kpop community was watching and fandoms were scared lmao.

Others have already mentioned it, but I also highly recommend checking out all of their stage practices. I’ve been following K-pop closely since 2008, and their stage practices are some of the most impressive I’ve seen. They’ve also showcased their harmonization in acapella medleys for their three previous albums, which are fantastic listens. I highly recommend them too!
It’s amazing this group was able to bounce back from their debut song that got such a seething negative response and people kept being conflicted about their music until love me like this and then from there the love has been slowly building as their songs and MV’s get better.
for LMLTs set being so simple I think its because they already filmed it with JIni still in the group, so when she left they had to re-film it with a lower budget.
I am a kpoper from the second and early third generation and I feel nostalgic for the mmixx style songs from the old SM groups(in some of their songs ), which they stopped doing. It's great that nmixx brings back the abrupt changes in the songs with good vocals but a modern version. 😅

OMG SHAYLA I'm so happy you're doing this. I love nmixx with all my heart. They're my ults along with Itzy. Just full of talent and their personalities are soooo funny and refreshing. Hope to see more of their content on here
They have the best two vocalists in 4th and 5th gen. The members' voices are top tier and fit ANY style. JYP hit the jackpot with NMIXX. The risk they took with the variety of songs and genres is starting to pay off as music artists, producers, and the industry is in awe of them every time they appear live. They may go down as one of the most important "direction changers" in kpop.
As far as I know, the lore with the LMLT video is that this was right when Jini left, so they had to reshoot it in a rush and that's why it feels more sparse. Could be wrong, but that's what I've heard
When I was starting to listen to NMIXX, Cool was the song that got me hooked.
Dice highnote is Sullyoon! She is the one with the deep voice you are pointing out (the one on the chandiler in Love Me) - you can see this live in the Uni festivals they did this year. LMLT is stripped back likely because most of it had to be redone without JinnI.
If you're a fan of Stray Kids and NMIXX, you have to watch NMIXX's cover of "Thunderous." It's absolutely insane!
They can actually make a whistle voice, in their song beat beat in the last chorus you can hear a whistle note 😄

In terms of their performance ability, I find they just have this incredible aura which I feel like the best showing of that is the “Move Your Body” performance in Chicago.

gurll 😭 i literally crying when i see jinni again 🥹 Lily and Jinni is the first one who caught my heart. I literally love them since Qualifying Era which is predebut. Then my first biased was Jinni and Lily but then i slowly love all of em. Still can't moved on that Jinni leave NMIXX 😭 I hope Jini is Happy and doing great with her solo now and also NMIXX. For me, NMIXX will be forever 7 🥹✊🏻
I recommend Chungha's "Querencia" album, for me it is still the BEST album to date, it brings my music experience the most value that I have never heard in any K-POP album, diverse genres, number of songs is enough to have a complete music experience.

I am a big fan of NMIXX's special brand of change-up. It distinguishes itself from the other KPOP groups because of it. It's too bad that after DICE, JYP was reluctant to give them any more until Sonar.
a big song in the nmixx discography is TANK, and i think ud like it as a stray kids and darker song liker. other than that i think BOOM and red light sign but we go would be songs u could potentially like. other just good songs and my personal favs r “beatbeat” “passionfruit”

My top songs of them are: Rollercoaster, Run for roses, Cool, Dice, Dash.... TOP NOTCH

- Tank, 0.0 - terrible for me. with small exception...0.0 has "Superhero" version - which is great!
So im big fan of them, but im always honest, im in kpop since 2015, and none of my favorite groups did all main releases great...every have some flaw for me. Probably only one group didn't do a flop for me is Kiss of Life so far.

I think the reason love me like this seems stripped down was because Jinni left during production. Just a guess
i dont why, but for me everytime they released a new song it sounds weird and very new to me. After of numerous listening to it, it is so good a new song with very unique arrangements and instrumentals. And i Really love the Soñar.
