The writer of Le Coeur a ses raisons The Heart has it's reasons! was inspired by the American Soaps that you see on T.V. in the afternoon He tought the plot lines of those show was alsolutely absurd and the actors overplaying their role that he goes that it i would go even further in the absurdity with playing with the tropes of those soap. i.e.
The evil twin Brad and Brett . Also the sublime Marc Labrèche playing Brad, Brett and thier sister Brenda. And the amazing Anne Dorval playing Crickett and Ashley.
