The best way making your own jigs, this one is simple and effective.
Love ur video. Thank you.
Thanks!
Nice done Jon! That washer placed at the end of the jig is a great tip! Thanks! 👍👍
Jon -- I really appreciate your no-nonsense approach to your work. Although I'm still a novice, one thing I've come to appreciate and value is finding the simplest, least complex solution to what I'm trying to accomplish. Your straightforward approach to everything you make, from basic shop projects to fine furniture, helps me and I'm sure countless others understand that doing nice work doesn't require expensive equipment or complicated techniques. I almost always feel more able and empowered to make something after watching your videos, which is a true gift. Thank you.
Brilliant, Jon! Really fantastic jig! 😃
Thanks a bunch for the step-by-step!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
That’s genius, Jon! Cheap, accurate, easy to make, and easy to use. Thanks for sharing! 👍🏼
Good luck in your new shop, can't wait to see the build out. I'm slowly building a shop in my two car garage and as soon as I'm finished with the wiring and sheet rock the fun begins.
Another great tool for success. I've learned so much from this channel!
Easy to follow directions. 👍🏾 Thank you!
That is a great jig. I think I will make a pair for bookcase length. Very useful idea.
Simple et efficace, bravo, à bientôt salut Jeannot ⚒😉
That is a good shop made jig and is made easier than I thought. I wish I saw three weeks ago, I bought myself a commercial made one. 🤨
Live and learn I guess
Incredible video, thank you.
Plain Simple yet Effective
I made this jig this morning it worked perfect
Jon, thanks again for you telling me about Montana Brand Tools several years ago. Great stuff and great folks to work with. Very different from a visit to the Big Box store!
Thanks Jack, Great Drill Bits!
That is brilliant Jon, thanks for sharing those tips.
Glad you enjoyed it thanks for the comment!
If you make another with holes 32mm/1.25" apart, and 37mm off the front edge, you'll have an easier time with slides and hinges lining up.
Very smart
thanks
I wish Jon still made art videos
Hope to again one day
Jon, I’ve got some scrap oak, so I’ll be making this for my daughter who is building her own wall cabinet with drawers, shelves and doors. Jon, could you please tell me what you use for hardware on no handle/no groove inset doors and drawers? Thank You!
Could you recommend 12” miter saw tooth amount for bookshelves/ cabinet work?80?
EXCELLENT demo. First time viewer. If all of your videos are this simple to understand and yet precise to follow, I see why you have almost 1 millions subscribers.
Well, you can now add me to the list! 😄
By the way, what Video recorder and lapel mic you are using for creating this content?
Thank you, Michael!
I recently ( the past four months or so) started shooting with my iPhone 14 Pro Max and recording the audio with the Hollyland cordless mic.
Very simple to use, the receiver, plugs into your phone and connect with the cordless mic automatically.
Great idea! I was going to buy a piece of peg board. But, I like this much better! Quick question ... how do I see the rest of the video where you built this bookcase?
Thanks Terry! Here’s a link to the project video ruclips.net/video/3oRics5ih58/видео.htmlsi=abEXrnjGw0OeqCrG
Clever idea, yet you lost me when holding the piece with your thumb(yikes) during the drill press section... had been celebrating your sled miter saw safety approach. Why not continue that with push sticks or a drill vise?
