Quick question, went under GA for eye op, lens replacement, work up and I was SA, my body is differentdown there now.... been to police, this was over 2 months ago....
I am an RN student graduating next year. I want to work in the ICU and then continue to be a nurse anesthetist. Your videos are amazing and you have a gift for teaching. Thank you !
I actually nearly started crying at 12:11 because your videos and slides are so helpful I genuinely cannot thank you enough you are an absolute legend you actually are just so amazing and your use of colour and whacky diagrams are exactly what I need for my self-diagnosed-quasi-dyslexia. Ps My lack of punctuation is to emphasise how continuous my praise is lolol
your way of connecting everything together is so helpful! usually in these types of videos you get one topic oversimplified but you have found a way to not only keep my attention but connect blurry dots from previous topics in my brain. Thx!
Another pneumonic for local anesthetics , Ester comes once a year so they have single I in their spellings while all amides have 2 I e.g L I doca I ne. Hope it helps 😊 BTW medicosis you have helped me a lot , you have no idea . Thanks Indeed ❤ 😊 .
I was hoping to watch boring medical videos to help me fall asleep, instead your videos kept awake for the past hour 😂 should have just gone to read some lecture notes 📝
You said that time of onset of action of anesthetics is determined by blood solubility, but in uworld step1 qid 660, it says the AV Conc gradient, which is determined by solubility of anesthetic in peripheral tissues, causes delay blood saturation and onset of action. So this induction time of anesthetics is represented by blood solubility like you said or the lipid solubility like uw says? Uworld also says the mechanism is if tissue solubility is high, large amount of anesthetic is taken up from blood, as a result saturation of blood requires further absorption to replace that which is absorbed by peripheral tissues. Please look into this. ~a confused student :/
when using general anesthesia for dental procedure like wisdom tooth extraction surgery. does local anesthesia shot is required or not? because IV sedation requires local anesthesia shot and patient can still pain even under sedation but he she can finish the procedure because of drugs. does general anesthesia can block any pain during dental surgery procedure unlike iv sedation?
It seems soo complicated that I would hardly trust my anaesthesiologist for the operation I have this Friday. I am afraid of being in this kind of a drug coma. Just the idea of some chemicals slowing down my brain function to the point of knocking me out scares me to death. What should I do about my fear. Thanks in advance🙏
General anaesthesia is used for surgical procedures where it's safer or more comfortable for you to be unconscious. It's usually used for long operations or those that would otherwise be very painful. It's not clear exactly how it works, but it's known that all anaesthetics stop the nerves from passing signals to the brain. This means you do not feel anything.

Hi. Could you kindly help with a question? Someone put the Pfizer vaccine underneath a microscope and tiny white dots were freely moving about. Is this the nanotech? If so how do they propel themselves. Thank you.
🦃Top of the afternoon to ya, Hope you’re well on this beautiful pre-Thanksgiving, (potentially blustery Winter weekend!) Curious if standardized waiting-time protocols exist recommending x days between surgical proceeding and if they vary between facilities? 🦃 Thanks⛄️
Words can’t describe how much I hate you ! Terrified ! Admire you for putting up with me !! Urgh ! 5 abdominal operations ! Last one I was a nitemare ! They sent an anaesthetist to talk to me day before talked about my fear prescribed diazepam said I’d be well out of it before the anaesthesia ! I’d have a button to press on my hand when I woke I would press it and it would help my pain and I would remember ! Well the day of op after diazepam on the way felt happy like a dream with people at a party ! But as soon as I was in that room I was sat bolt upright ! I was a nitemare I even nearly got off the bed to go !! But obviously you talked me around a bit Iam sure I wasted so much of you’re time and I felt ashamed ! When I woke up extreme pain !!anaesthetist came and he said you haven’t pressed that button in last 12 hours ? No I didn’t ! Didn’t trust them ! I remembered ! Urgh so sorry for my fear ! I thought the anaesthetist was simply lovely ! But didn’t trust him ! At all ! Never rested til I got home ! Think that’s a ‘real fear’ so sorry ! I think you all amazing only when Iam back in my bed !!! 🧚
