Your video along with others showed me i can really enjoy them now, later and even later... thanks!
You are not alone, we have had to do the same thing. We also got a huge bag of onions and I have been looking for ways that I could store them before they went bad. Sad thing is that most of the onions we got are about the size of a lemon, I don’t think the biggest one is the size of an orange. I’m still thankful and blessed for getting them! I wish better days ahead for you and your family.
Hello! You can push all the air out of Ziploc bags by submerging them in water up to the zipper then seal! I use this trick for all kinds of foods especially bacon.
Nice video. We just harvested a load from our garden. One suggestion though, the bags you are using are sandwich bags and are not tested for leaks. Ziplock storage and freezer bags are quality checked every 4 hours for bag and zipper leakage. Sandwich bags are not.
I cut mine up and put the in ice cube trays and freeze them. When they are frozen I put them in vacuum sealed bags and store them in the freezer. When you need onion you take out how ever many cubes you need

aaaaah that's why i somehow found myself suddenly full of flies in a spotless flat... stored onions next to potatoes in a shopping bag. As soon as i threw the onions away the flies flew away... no more food for them and their offspring
