Strange to imagine a pedally, river trail would be enough to use the travel on an enduro bike, but then again it is the PNW. I was back up that way a few weeks ago and got a few rides in while I was there, finally got to ride Thrillium (without a shuttle, pedaling up Yacolt YAY!! haha) that trail is truly something special, and one of the few times I was feeling underbiked on my Ibis Ripmo. Especially riding Thrillium at the mach chicken speeds that trail is built to be ridden at.
Thanks! Glad you like the content! My top trails within driving distance are probably Hamilton Buttes, then Strawberry Ridge, followed by the Yacolt Burn area.
This trail is awesome! So glad to see Skookum reviewed and enjoyed for the delightful tech-xercise it is.
Skookum flats was a tough return trail after climbing to and riding suntop. This is a great summary of the trail.
Suntop and Skookum together is pretty big day! I rode it after shuttling Ranger Creek, so I was pretty fresh.
@@VoiceOverTrailReviews I was cursing skookum flats by the end, but it's a cool river trail, some type 2 fun for sure.
Sounds like my kind of trail! I'll have to check it out.

In all honesty, Thrillium is just too fast for me. Riding that trail at proper speed makes every little mistake a possible season ender.
Excellent review as always! Also check out Middle Fork Snoqualmie next year if you haven't already
I love trails like this!
Me too!

You know, I hadn't thought about that possibility. Very thoughtful.
