Love playing and collecting my black templars. Thanks for making a good introduction video for new players. Some of my go to pickd are Helbrecht with a 5 man Sword Brethren squad in an impulsor, Grimaldus leading a 20 man Primaris Crusader Squad, and the EC with a 5man Sword Brethren squad (they buff him in this combo).
I've got 4240 points in these guys, and I'm not stopping until I reach 5k!
Those are all really great combos! Grimaldus with the PCS can be an absolute menace on the board!
I always want my channel and content to be informative, to the point, and honest, especially for new players!

This right here has fully convinced me to play Black Templars, The video was super helpful and gave me a good understanding of who the black templars are. Really appreciate you dropping a good starting point for a 2k army and the first couple of models I should pick up that is super helpful as I had no idea where to start with building an army

how many points is the army you recommended? How many combat patrols do you think you need to have for a bigger game? I am new and getting into the hobby.
If I remember right, this was about a 2k list. Combat patrols are a good starting point, but I wouldn’t necessarily stack them. Especially since some units can’t be used with Templars (such as librarians)
2 combat patrols of any size would get you around 1k points give or take. The Templars one isn’t a bad start. The dark angels one is good too, as they’re easily converted and it contains no faction-specific units. Just be sure to have the right bits!
Ultimately, it comes down to the play styles you wanna use and the rule of cool. Templars excel at melee combat, but it’s always great to have some ranged shooters and vehicles to pack some extra punch and give your crusaders some cover

Great video, I think the battle EC vs. Canis Rex would be a cool story for a video.
I think people sleep on Judicars paired up with either PCS or PSB. I generally only play 1000-1200 pt games because it is all I really have time for but in my limited experience Judicars are clutch with the fight first, their Executioner's Blade also has precision, he is only 5pts less than an EC but depending on who you are playing Fights First can be a game changer.

The Judicar is a crazy good melee unit. I’ve ran him with sword bros a few times and it’s downright mean. Running him with BGV in a defense game tho? Can’t be beat.
I haven’t ran my Templars in a hot minute, been mostly playing thousand sons, but I’ve been itching to get them back on the board.

Essentially, the traitors lured a bunch of loyalist forces to the planet and then massacred them
@@star.hammer you might need to edit the video, that was Isstvan 5's Dropsite Massacre.
Isstvan 3 had the planetary revolt where the Traitor Legions sent down their loyalist elements and then virus bombed them.
Isstvan 4 had nothing...

Boycotting gw, But not the game. I love the black templars too much. Recast and 3d printing will cut the cost down by like half. Becareful with recasters tho

Actually just made a video on the whole price hike shit if you wanna check it out. I bring up printing your own stuff or buying secondhand as a way around it.
BGV have recently became my new favorite non-character unit. Get a wall of those dudes on a point and its just a real pain in the ass for your opponent to get them off.
Do you use leader units on them? Is the ancient worth it to double the oc? What non LT type u it do you also use?
@@calebhebert2733 I usually run a Judiciar with the BGV to give them fights first. The ancient is good for the OC but not much else considering his other ability is only once per game. Personally I prefer the fight first. My BGV are usually moving close to or with the infernus or another shooter unit so the extra OC from the ancient normally doesn’t do all that much for me.
As for LT units, castellans are literally the same thing. The only difference is they can’t use a power fist. You could also run chaplains and get a +1 to wound, which against bigger units is pretty nice.

Female Custodes are fine. I think they're awesome. But we're at the tippy top of a long and slippery slope. Give it 5 to 10 years from now and GW will end up with the same problems that Marvel comic books have had the past couple years.
