Hay bro when i worked in the bush as a logger here in new zealand there was a trick i use to do to see if it was going rain hard or if it wasn't going to at all and the trick was to hold a cigarette paper out in front of you when the weather was spitting if more then one drop hit the cigarette paper at the same time it was going to pelt down with rain but if only one drop hit the cigarette paper no rain at all.👍🙏you💯💪

I am just about go on a solo 2 and a half month trip to South-East Alaska, hiking, camping, fishing. Looking forward to stopping off at Chichagof island!

You make me laugh ,its important to know how to fall, your exactly right ,as kids we would practice wiping out in the grass on our bikes,made a big difference when you know what to do

Batteries are a pain sometimes and also storage space. I Hiked up Mt Roberts in Juneau with my camera gear to film B-Roll and I'd forgotten to clear the card. My camera didn't have the ability to clear the card so I had 2 minutes of space. I've used 12volt emergency light lead acid batteries before. they're heavy but cheap and run for a long time. That location looks wonderful! It would be nice to spend several days in the woods. Get a chance to unplug for a bit.
I know this is a little late but yes it is a good idea it could be lite and having so you could have it on your back and just swing it around it could be about 3 by 2 msybe .
It would be awesome to take a camping trip with you through Topaka Mt in the future I'm very self sufficient don't need looking after. It would be nice to see such beautiful landscape and great company 💯💪
