A lot of good points, I especially enjoyed the sections on boundaries, open space, local symmetries, and a lot of the later ones. Still, a lot of the ideas seem to be arbitrary and comparisons unfair - "compare this mosque to an office building" - of course, even you comment on that one. Still, there were comparison examples in which I assumed the "wrong" one to have more life. I'm sure these points on are elaborated on further in the book, so I suppose this video is a fair introduction. What impressed me is how many of these points I arrived at myself when attempting to understand what exactly I enjoy in my favorite music - contrast among repetition, what you refer to as echoes and freedom (roughness), egolessness. And, for sure, my previous remark under part 1 is pretty much irrelevant.
Appreciate the thoughts. They can seem a bit arbitrary at first, as they're appealing to intuition, but they're actually quite technically based, I just didn't get into the weeds on that in this video. Maybe in a future series I'll cover the mathematical basis behind the properties. Fascinating stuff for sure
