I was at this gig, one of their last before they split, people say it was messy it wasn’t, it was unbelievable, the set was electric, I love catfish I know every song, it was the possibly best set I’ve ever seem (bearing in mind I’ve been to about 100 concerts/festivals), their songs were just perfect live, such a shame they broke up, will never forgot the year I got absolutely plastered and saw catfish at reading 🥲
It truly is a shame they split up. They will forever be one of my favourite bands, I literally love all of their songs. I just hope someday (with my idealistic self) I'll get to see them live. Edit: Turns our I'm not idealistic after all 😂
Seen them in amsterdam in 2018(???), also met van mccann after show at the artists entry/exit behind the venue (accidentally). They were one of the best live bands ive ever seen perform imo. Changed up some songs. Made it heavier than the originals. Really had a good time at that concert!!!! Oh and van is really nice irl!

This was a weird performance! He seemed a little off his game. Probably band tension and who knows what else. If you look at their previous live performances, he was very engaged with the audience!
After this headlined performance why would the rest of band members depart from the band? They ain’t gonna make as much money anywhere else? I’d rather be part of a headlining band than stack shelves at Tesco.
@@lofo7703 Maybe Van was refusing to change the sound of the band. I’m glad he refused know because I’m sick and tired of these rock bands going all electronic and poppy
I know someone who worked for them, the guitarist and drummer fell out with Van (Apparently due to his arrogance) this is why the drummer keeps throwing in random fills in throughout this performance to deliberately try and throw Van off, apparently it’s also why Bondy turned up in white to go against the catfish trademark of all black. The only reason they still did this performance was because they were contractually obliged or they’d be sued. Hope that helps ✌️
I’d agree but he’s much older than the rest of the band members so wouldn’t look right. It’s better when band members are a similar age. I personally think they should grow up and stay together.
He’s an amazing vocalist. You should check out their other live performances like TRNSMT or T In the Park or acoustic performances. The band was having a lot of tension at this time and I don’t think they had a lot of time to practice. This was not their best performance.
