Played a lot of One Deck Dungeon (and Forest) a while ago, which was fun, although it seemed a bit easy eventually. You'll be excited to know there's now a space version! I've been getting into musicals again of late, particularly Heathers (which we saw live), then Carrie and Beetlejuice (mostly on RUclips). Also, if anyone at work knows it's my birthday, something has gone horribly wrong.

My best friend and I have been known to quote from the movie from time to time! We love it. I first saw it when I was visiting Perth (staying in a hotel at Scarborough Beach if I recall...). Just wanted to pop in to say that you both did an excellent job on your first playthrough on Rahdo's channel. Radlands is such a great game and you showcased it beautifully. You both are really good at it (and I don't think I've ever seen a playthrough on YT or Twitch when there weren't mistakes....it comes with the territory). You're a logical and wonderful addition to his channel.

My wife is a shuffle playmix kind of music listener and I usually prefer listening to a whole album back to front because otherwise I don't think the experience is as accurate as it was intended. I think track order is very important! So wouldn't be able to pick one album! If I had to I'd probably have to pick a concept album and some of my favorites are Boy From Black Mountain by Beat Circus and Eveyln Evelyn

Actually, I just thought of a promo card idea that kind of merges your thinker and themer sides: a card that lets you use a resource or item in an artistic rather than its practical way, that then provides you with a better benefit. For example, since you mentioned Stardew Valley, I've never actually played the game before but I saw in the rulebook that it is possible to end up with a piece of useless trash as result of your fishing action. So the card could turn let you turn the trash into a gift or money (thematically, you crush the broken CD trash pieces and make a decorative piece which you then gift or sell). The card could be called "A Whimsical Idea" or something, and the flavor text could read "It's amazing what you can come up with when you tinker with imagination" :)

Great photos and Happy Birthday to Maggie! Glad you mentioned Aldabas and hats off to that themer explanation Maggie! I really enjoy the game, I taught it a few times at a games convention which is definitely the right sort of audience. The hardest part to explain is how the card layout works with the oversized vault! I wish it was a container for the cards and coins, gets a bit wonky if you hide too much under the card!
I like the promo card question and think that Arkham Horror LCG should make a Maggie character card where she is an Illusionist with the ability to alter the visual reality in order to sneak past monsters or something like that. PS Congratulations to the both of you and I loved the pictures from your wedding day.
The topic of the double sided boards came up on BGG which Frank West addressed: "To design new boat layouts and to get them tested to the correct levels would have added months to the project length (or risk inbalances) and I felt this wasn't needed. The 6 variations already in the game gives enough options to keep the game fresh as has been the case with the original game. In regard to printing them on both sides, I just felt it was nicer than leaving one side blank. It also safe guards them in case someone accidentally uses a permanent marker or scratches one side."

They're mostly in a shed in the back yard :) I was close to backing One Deck Galaxy, but it was only 1-2 players, so I passed. I don't think the sci-fi theme is better than the dungeon theme for you two :D I may pick up Isle of Cats Explore and Draw and cull my copy of the base game. From what you and others have said, you get a very similar experience with a smaller package and less setup. See you both next week! :D

I love Caper, esthetically, but also a really smooth and elegant 2-player game. All-timer for me. Isle of Cats is top 5 for me... the explore and draw is great as well, but I prefer the core game multiplayer, and even solo.

Oh I absolutely love muriels wedding movie, it was quite big in the UK so id imagine it doing well as a show in the UK.
