    I know this was two years ago but you need to press and hold in the clutch when you do the test that’s why the code 67 is popping up

      Mike Marks Cool, thanks for the tip? I don’t remember what code 67 was? I do remember that it said nothing in the instructions about holding in the clutch? Maybe I need to re-read them, lol. Thanks for watching and commenting. Please consider a sub!

      Metalcop Hey thanks for replying back I believe 67 was the code for the clutch solenoid I believe it was but if you see in other videos of guys doing a test on these mustangs they hold in the clutch while the test is still going on

      @@Metalcop5150 so I removed the smog pump and blocked off the heads now for EGR and evr I keep getting code 84 and how should I route the vac lines for them both is it the 2 lines in the fender I'm so lost with the old technology I'm a back yard mechanic and never worked on any car before 96 only obd2 cars

      @@Mattys91gt I think that code is unavoidable, once you eliminate the smog pump etc. No worries, it won’t set off a check engine light or cause any performance issues. As far as the vacuum lines, they just need to be capped off, so you won’t have a vacuum leak. Either eliminate them, at the source or just cap off the ends. You should be able to get the vacuum caps and plugs etc. at your local auto parts store. Easy!! 👍

    So what you're saying is you cleared code 18 by cleaning out spout connection?

    • @Metalcop5150
      @Metalcop5150  2 года назад

      I TRIED that, but it didn't work. The code is still there, but as far as I can tell it really doesn't affect anything. This OBD is very crude at best.

      I had same code. Car would die during KOER test. Found out my distributor plug wasn't getting a good connection. Pushed plug in and zip tied the end of the plug to hold it in. Hope it helps

      @@tomborders6003 Thanks for watching and commenting! I'll be sure to check out the distributor plug.

      I tried to ad a pic. But I couldn't figure it out. If you have that code you could be stuck in base timing with no advance

      @@Metalcop5150 can you unplug the spout without messing timing up or if you unplug you’ll have to reset timing?
