    You know, at a glance, those flowers look rather like the wattle flowers! They're very attractive, I'd love to grow some. It seems that we do have 'goldenrod' (Solidago) here in Australia but it is declared an invasive weed in some areas.

    • @AlmostaGreenAcre-zs5eu
      @AlmostaGreenAcre-zs5eu  2 месяца назад +1

      That is exactly what I thought when you shared the video of the wattle tree, Richard. It really does have similar characteristics like: same colour, blooms for the same amount of time and fades in colour the same way. I'd pack a shovel in my car and go find some to dig up to transplant into your garden. It can spread very aggressively by the rhizome and seed if not managed. It's a beautiful beneficial plant that adds such biodiversity to the ecosystem of your gardens 🙂

    Oh!!!! fabulous harvest🌾🌾 and demo. I’m curious what dehydrator you have. I use a Presto. BTW I have scalp psoriasis too. I m currently trying a mix of essential oils. I’ll try anything. Really enjoyed the all-gull story and info. I think it was“all gull” you were saying. Anyway I’ll look it up. Sounds like an amazing plant. Thank you. Such a great share.

    • @AlmostaGreenAcre-zs5eu
      @AlmostaGreenAcre-zs5eu  2 месяца назад +1

      Thanks so much Susie. My dehydrator is a Salton. Nothing special really. I found it at a 2nd hand store and paid about $12 for it. It didn't even look like it had ever been used. I also use essential oils when I have a flare up sometimes. It's a Goldenrod Gall Moth that may lay an egg on the stem. If it does, the egg hatches after 10 days and the larva bores into the stem, inducing the goldenrod into forming a round lump, called a ball gall 😃I find that so fascinating and then, the black capped chickadee and downy woodpecker come along and get the larva.

    • @AlmostaGreenAcre-zs5eu
      @AlmostaGreenAcre-zs5eu  2 месяца назад +1

      Yes, I bet you do have soreness and this would be good for you. Next time your driving around, check open fields is usually where you would find them growing wild. Better yet, stick a shovel in your trunk and a couple of garbage bags to dig some up and bring to your yard Being native to North America, I can't imagine that you do not have it there. Perhaps not, but keep an eye open for them. Have a blessed day 😍

    Hello from Texas. Nice to meet you. Here from Life in the Piedmont Homestead. Thank you for this information. I would plant golden rod next year but i haven't seen seed in the store. Have a blessed day.

    • @AlmostaGreenAcre-zs5eu
      @AlmostaGreenAcre-zs5eu  2 месяца назад +1

      Hello and welcome Gail. Your welcome for the information and glad you found it helpful. You won't find stores selling Goldenrod plants or seeds I don't believe. It's an heirloom plant native to North America (which is you and me) that grows wild. It spreads aggressively (if not managed) underground or birds may scatter the seed. If you want it to come up next spring, I'd suggest putting a shovel in your trunk and some bags to go dig some up along the road or in a field, etc. Thank you for the blessing, you as well sister.
