I have followed him from the beginning of his rap career pretty much, he has made a point of printing lyrics on the BC albums as he wants the listener to see what he says and the point he is making. He has never changed his moral outlook on life just stepped into another genre, and successfully pulled it off. (Mic contract is on the OG album)
I was like 9 when that first album came out and I remember my stepbrother bought the cassette tape of it and played it nonstop for like 2 weeks. Loved 'em pretty much ever since!
If you liked this, Blood lust is an absolute must. It does what they do, best. The riffs are hooky, raps are on point and it has a very strong voice and message without being pastice
I love Body Count. Marylin Manson and Body Count released new albums on the same day. Great day to be a metal fan.
Their take on Suicidal Tendancies 'Instutionalised' is genius. Grumpy old man Ice T is my favourite Ice T.
Definitely gonna have to dig into this one
I got the album Merciless it’s fuckin awesome

Oh wow I didn't realise Mic Contract was like a "re-imagining" cheers!
32 years Ice-T been fronting this band the original band had members who passed away but he still kept it together, surely that deserves respect
Absolutely dude, what a legend
Great insight on the history of this band! Can't wait to listen tomorrow :)
Thanks dude! You're in for a treat mate I assure you x

Check out Juan Of The Dead aka Juan Garcia's band Evildead. They put out a new album earlier this year Toxic Grace that rules. Killer Thrash Metal.🤘
Merciless is the best body count so far excellent!

Bloodlust is the best rap metal record of the 2010s, also totally worth checking
