@@ChachaChapati I heard that very same thing years ago. Ice felt it was a shame that someone as talented as Ernie C was not a household name and believed that he deserved more exposure. As I understand it, they've been friends since they were kids and Ice was doing what he does for his friends. Used his own Fame to draw attention to his friend's talents. But to stick with it for so many years is a real statement of integrity and dedication to hard work as well as the fans. I doubt many folks thought body count would be around past their first album but here they are decades after that first record and its controversy, kicking asses and taking names harder and better than ever. Anyone who says they aren't the real deal is kidding themselves
He said on their Raining Blood/Postmortem cover that Body Count was band that he put together just so Ernie could play his guitar

I saw them live when that album first came out in 1991.
I had that original album on cassette tape. Before they cut the song and changed the album cover. Wish I still had it, wonder if the original copies are worth anything today? An interesting album and very controversial for the times. I was just a 9yr old kid who jammed the shit out of that album.

Ice-T tells it like it is, but for him and Ernie C, to put Body Count together, & go out into the Metal World, they were the heavy metal version of NWA; they were the on line reporters, telling everyone about the going on's in the black community.

I became friends with Ice-T's DJ, Evil E.; he was the one who turned me on to Body Count.
After seeing them live in North Hollywood, CA ,they persuaded me into forming a metal band.

A metal-head myself. Rap music deserves the highest part of my RESPECT, it's honest, conveys messages at same level of intensity as metal, different lyrical themes, but points are made equally strongly.

Agreed, all that matters to me is that the music REAL, anyone saying rap and hip hop isn't real and from the heart is full of shit.
From what I have observed, it's easy to cross pollinate both genres. I know lots of metalheads who respect rap, and I've seen lots of rapheads listen to metal for the first time and say "wow I can see how people dig this!"

I thought that one was in bad taste, actually.
At the expense of murdering innocent victims. Humans seem to be amused at the disparity of human disdain. There's a whole group of ppl that are into serial killers. It has an appeal to the dark side in us all. But at the same time it's disgusting due to the expense of their victims. The sheer terror that they must of felt. Some were tortured and only the fortune were shot on site. It's like how some ppl are obsessed with wars for example. Hundreds of thousands often died as well as the untold amounts of innocent civilians. The worst of humanity appears to peak interest based off pure dark curiosity. Just goes to show you just how little value our lives are. In hindsight none of our lives matter just like Ice T said.

I completely agree with Ice T about how in reality, we are all collateral damage when money is to be made. The place I work at, they changed the way everyone has to do shit, just to protect the money in the register even though our safety is not even being considered. Really makes you feel shit when you think about it, and realize your life is not as important to some people than a bit of money.
