Inlaid Buttercream Transfer Technique | Buttercream Cake Decorating

  • This is a unique buttercream transfer technique in that the design is inlaid rather than placed on top of the frosting.
    A great cake design if you want a cool pattern but don't feel confident to pipe freehand!
    This technique would work best with Swiss or Italian meringue buttercream, you can find my buttercream recipes linked below!

    Can you guide as to where I can find designs to use to give this a try? I just looked at your website and this technique isn't listed under your decorating techniques. I sure am glad I follow you everywhere (hope that doesn't sound stalkerish lol). Thanks for being amazing and sharing your amazingness with us!

      Haha thanks, not stalkerish! I usually find designs like these on pinterest. I save a lot of tile/folkart/ and embroidery designs so thees kind of designs are always popping up in my feed!

      This will work best with a sturdy, non-crusting buttercream like Swiss or Italian meringue buttercream. It might work with others but I haven't tried it!
