100,000 people are moving to Vaucluse! I agree 100%. Although it's very beautiful because of the harbour and how that played a part in its growth, it is now a shit hole. It's become one of the most unnavigatable and unlivable cities in Australia. You can't go anywhere, can't park anywhere, can't drive anywhere, exhorbitant tolls, camera and radars everywhere, crappy unreliable public transport that never goes where you want to go, multi million dollar properties that only overseas investors can afford, insane rents that need a six figure income to support a one bedroom bedsit, traffic everywhere, lunatics everywhere, thieves, junkies, insane cost of living and the list goes on. Greed had absolutely ruined a once beautiful city. Thank God I left twenty five years ago to the other next best area after Adelaide but now everyone from Sydney has discovered how good it is and they're moving in!
Looking great brother. It's so great to see you with so much muscle on your bones these days. It just constantly puts a smile on my face when I think of how thin (Not that that's bad of course...You get it) you were when I started watching you a decade ago ha.
i slept in that park by the governor's mansion/opera house for 40 days while i waited for a new passport from my embassy. i had zero money and a small swag to sleep in. i had someone give me $105 cash without me even asking, all sorts of people give me free food and got to wake up to the harbour bridge every morning. 6 years later, living very comfortable but would trade it now in a second for that experience 🤣
Really enjoyed this. Id love to live in Adelaide to see what its like. Im in the UK and where I am it sounds a lot like Sydney.... cant wait to leave...plus the weather isnt good, grey clouds a lot of the time.
hi Durian. Wow you've come a long way haven't you. I was thinking of doing some expos in Australia Sydney for my business and in future moving there. Thankfully I do have income and job prospects! How did you get so ripped? How often do you work out.
I've been doing the nutritional and lifestyle protocols in my ebooks at www.durianrider.com since 2001 and that's why I stay low fat body year round regardless. Lots of money on Sydney but very poor quality of life.
Quality of life is subjective of course, personally I love Sydney and live in Los Angeles, some people have certain family obligations, kids, not everyone has the ability to relocate, there's no mecca
qol can be measured though and is quantifiable is it not? how many people are being prescribed medications, amount of exercise people are getting, rate of crime, happiness scores from surveys etc. Sydney is definitely not a good place to raise kids i.e. there are definitely better cities in Australia. Kids have no where to run around, everything is cut throat so there's this over looming stress in household which kids eventually take up, processed foods everywhere, very unhealthy.
@@durianriders I agree, only saying that sometimes you gotta make the environment your home, not everyone is 40 plus no kids and able to ride a bike all day
Harley, moved to the outskirts of London (England) from the rural countryside. Yes like Sydney nobody seemingly talks. Down here I am in the minority if I go shopping, quite a few struggle with basic English not good. I can't imagine this is unique. People come to the city for the better wages in the belief of a better life. Maybe it will wear off one day but thus far I wish I'd stayed put.
I lived in sydney until I was 30, then I moved to Brisbane, bought a house, started a family and have never looked back. Sydney is a sess pit and until you can see the grass on the other side, your head is in the sand.
Harley ! Thumbs Up! Though man, there are no homeless that care about fruits or bicycles. You want them to care about fruits and bicycles, I want them to care about fruits and bicycles but unfortunately they care about drugs alcohol and they don’t love themselves and other people.
You Know Harley, I envy the animals sometimes with their simple communications and law of the jungle codes. Humans are so complicated and full of shite, hope they hurry up with the reset, any way its just after 5 am UK time so bike ride before the traffic gets busy.
@@RollingnBodfish93518 ,went out early yesterday and found a deer absolutely splatted on the road( Really Gruesome ) this morning some folks in their four wheel drive Land rover were at side of the road cutting the meat from the carcass. Pedalled past on my way.
Haha, I can't stand the Eastern Suburbs. Too many ugly old buildings. Visit Manly Dam for a day and hang out with the geese, swamp hens & bush turkeys. Or catch the Beaches market in Warriewood any Friday for some good organic fruit.
I escaped Sydney 4 years ago to live in Adelaide. Thanks for the tip Harley. Sydney was the pits. So many cars on the road.
I live in Sydney and agree with you 100%. Sydney has become unbearable.
Sydney unbearable🤔 I think we've got you covered here in the dictatorship that is Melbourne.
SYDNEY = LOS ANGELES.
why is it unbearable?

I lived in Australia back in 2003 on a one year visa and I’m glad I experienced Sydney before it came what it is now.
It's like that in many cities in America as well

So expensive now I I was there about 10 years left for Thailand my home country
I recently got outta Sydney, was in Adelaide and Melbourne before that. Now over in WA, and I think Fremantle has all those places beat.
Vaucluse looks nice mate 🤙
Vaucluse is the best place to live in the world if you are homeless.

I wouldn't live here for a million a year.

You were the last homeless who cared about fruits, health and fitness and that’s why you are not homeless anymore.
Hi Harley. As a clue less Sydney sider which Adelaide suburbs would you recommend?
Eastern suburbs.
In a van or if you got money a house etc.
cant argue with facts
I couldn’t get the name of your saddle. I need one like that. My taint hurts. Can you write it out please.
Bontrager Anja
Saddles are personal though. So are the angle and height you prefer.
@@durianriders thanks man. That’s the problem with saddles. You spend 100-200 bucks and if it doesn’t work for you then what?
Same as London
Harley you should come to the Southern Highlands very good area just can be pricey

I really enjoyed the cycling in Sydney, DHBC is the best.
Any fish in the water behind you? I wanna come visit

Highest mercury content in Australia. So high that on hot days they rise to the surface of the water.
Polluted water.... at least down the parramatta end of that
