It's good to check the battery cell statistics are up to the big hills. If the voltage drops too much in the climbs low resistance (high power cells like VTC-6) are big upgrade. Using a larger battery or two in parallel does the same trick and lowers the internal resistance. Internal resistance rises on larger currents, so the benefits are cumulative. You can google the battery cell and it's discharge curve to approximate how much you lose capacity on different load currents. In worst cases, the battery internal resistance effects so much that you might only get 50% of the rated maximum capacity. Thank you for the fantastic video.
Hi! The resources are in the "equipment" list in the description. If you build a setup, please let me know. I'd be delighted. After all, the whole purpose fo the channel is to get people leave their cars and get on similar bikes and reconnect with nature.
7:20 one tip, do not fully strip the plastic wraps, as the little pieces will be difficult to manage as trash and will cause litter pollution. Strip as much as needed to take out the stuff and keep the packaging as one whole piece. BTW, good stuff you got going, sub'd.
I do not leave any of it on the venue, stripped or otherwise, of course. I have a designated trash bag that I empty whenever I find a garbage bin along the way. Thanks for the tip anyway and thanks for subbing! :-)
What a brilliant channel. I am setting up a similar system here in the UK. Luckily my ebike has regenerative braking so I should get away with smaller solar panels. Keep posting you are answering many many questions, thank you.
I cannot tell how happy this makes me. My secret (oh, well, not so secret) aim is to make this kind of camping the new norm. I would love to see how you do yours. I wouldn't call myself an expert, but I'm happy to share what I learned and I will try to answer your questions within the limits of my experience. I already have the material for two more trips, now I'm working on the animation and video editing, so get ready, more episodes are coming! :-)
@@SolarTrails Thanks for your reply, I am trying to figure out how to get a one wheel trailer to connect to an ebike with rear electric hub, not so easy as the power cable goes through the axle, where the trailer connects.
I'm obsessed with ebikes and bike trailers, and I just finished my visit to Austria. The scenery is on point.
Funny name for that cake :)
Another very enjoyable trip "with" you!
I am binge watching, but alas I must get some sleep.
I'll be back! Ride far. Ride safely.

Thanks, very helpful. I'll be sure to keep that in mind.
Do you know of any resources where I can try to build a similar set up? Thanks from Canada.

Very cool and inspiring! Makes me want to create a similar setup.
Go for it!

I was also considering a one-wheel trailer. I would appreciate it if you could show me your solution if you come across one.
