And the crowd goes wild! That was awesome. Sheer Mag are one of my favorite KEXP discoveries (thanks, DJ Reeves!). I definitely hear the Jackson 5 sound in the vocals. And the heaviness, too. Great band. Awesome sound as always. Another fantastic in-studio 👏👏👍👍 Rest peacefully, Riley Gale 💙
Around the 7:25 mark of this performance Kyle Seely dropped some righteous "Dave Navarro" vibes on the lead guitar. Wicked flash back. I've been following Sheer Mag since their first 3 track release (on Bandcamp), but this is the first time that's happened. I was always aware that the dude shreds, but now I really understand a lot more. Regardless of what anyone thinks of Dave Navarro, he will always be the "Guitar Hero" for me, who played in a way that just resonated with me so much, and still does any time I hear him, album or live. So... Kyle Seely.... don't ever stop playing man. It's a gift and pleasure to hear.
Garage band energy and vibe. Wait whaaa...no engineering school grad on a digital synth or some other electronica wiz bang? And pedals and echo and reverb and delay and chorus? Just musicians banging away on their instruments???? lol I like it.
Dude, I get your point, but there are literally pedalboards full of pedals on the ground in front of the bassist and both guitarists. Just because the effects aren’t wacky, experimental, or synthetic sounding doesn’t mean they aren’t there and contributing to the tones: reverb, fuzz, overdrive, compression, boost, eq, and the like. And there isn’t a damned thing wrong with that. Just saying. And what, drummers, bassists, guitarists, and singers can’t be engineering school grads? And synth players can’t be self-taught, grungy, luddites? But yes, I appreciate the straight-ahead vibes, too.
@@XXjg_People especially boomers love to make comments like “oh thank god finally someone playing their own instruments and singing” or “not a laptop in sight” and endless versions of that. It makes them feel superior about something they don’t really understand. It’s equal parts “things were better in my day,” “you kids get off my lawn,” and “I’m the final arbiter of taste and talent”
@@ds8021 you “don’t give a rat’s behind” if musicians use pedals, but you posted that you liked that this band doesn’t use pedals, even though they do? Um, ok. Weirdly inconsistent, unaware, and hypocritical. But hey, that’s youtube for you! Thanks for taking the time to post what you like about something and then respond to someone else that you don’t care about the something you took time to post that you liked? 👍
I saw them live a couple times in NY. Once, I went on stage to dive and the singer just pushed me off the stage as soon as she was in range. 10/10.
Love them!
Sounds fun!
Man, I REALLY like that sound and strut. Great voice for the sound.

My favorite drummer of theirs they’ve had in the band, saw them in Denver this past April. Impeccably tight and direct rock and roll.

Just say you don’t know anything about rock n’ roll next time

lol this band has had massive commercial success for like 5-10 years, so the public and music industry and dollars would say differently.
Absolutely awful 😂
your lack of musical taste?
Bad music taste detected. Opinion rejected
Her vocals were a bit off in this performance, but I don’t hear anything “awful”
absolutely different than anything else sooo Good
Woke Rock N’ Roll
Why? Because she's fat? It fuckin rips and you know it.
I hate woke BS with a passion, they do sliiiiightly have that look but they arent at all thank god
Come on, man . Are u ...... serious ?
Some of the worst music, if u wanna call it that , that i ever heard, honestly.
You ever think about keeping any opinions to yourself?
Listen to their records. They sound impeccable
Sheer Mag arent one of the best bands of today, but theyre a band with actual sick band tees. Their logo is unbeatable
The guy on the tele is awesome
