U can tell Billie joe was very messed up in this his addictions was at its highest point I am so happy he got help when he did he may have not been here if he did not and that would have sucked Green Day is my favorite band of all time I am so proud that Billie me be clean for 6 years this year if he can do it every one can
Personally, I dont believe his meltdown at the I Heart Festival should be considered a purely negative thing. If thats what it took to get him help & eventually save his life, then it was worth it. A few mins lost watching him rant & him still being alive & entertaining us...well that's just a NO brainer. I hope he is also aware that by publically admitting he had a drug problem & could'nt get past it without rehab probably saved a lot of his fans & people who were struggling with similar abuse & addiction issues. I felt it humanized him & made him even more relatable than he already was. All too often many of us think that if you're rich, famous & a rockstar your life MUST be perfect. Unfortunately, it makes you even more prone to drug abuse, addiction, higher consumption, higher tolerance & the very real possibility of death by overdose. Not to mention, having unlimited finances & connections you dont have the safety net of having to go without because your broke or nothing is around. I personally believe this is one of the rare times in life where your actually better off without fame & wealth in your life. That being said, Im really happy he lost his shit that day. How he handled the aftermath showed the rest of us drug addiction does'nt play or discriminate, but no matter how low you are there is help & a possibility of turning yourself around if you really want it & make the effort to finally get past it & on to living a healthier & better life. It can be accomplished, Billie Joe Armstrong is all the proof you need of it.

The trilogy really had that juvenile, fun, carefree turn-off-your-brain feel, the songs were kinda fitting to his condition at the time
