In future videos you should put a quick yes or no at the beginning so that more people find the important information. Then the people that want to learn about the scientific study can continue watching it, and the people that just want a quick answer are also satisfied.
Friend of mine overdosed on creatine, took it for breakfast lunch and dinner. He couldn't get enough of the stuff, he was hooked, i mean they say cocaine is bad, creatine's on a whole new level. Caught him snorting 5 lines of the stuff! , but did that stop him? Found him lying in the bedroom with the 5 gram scoop hanging out his arse!
I think people are mostly aggressive against supplements because of the stigma that follows. I think if people do their research, though, they'll find things to be safer than they believe. This was a great and informative podcast
Good information and a tip for those who don't want to watch the whole video: If a video is debating if something is good or bad just look in the description and if they have links to buy that product then they are probably pro.
Actually bought my first massive thing of creatine earlier today! I had read a lot about it before buying, but this video really solidified my understanding

The only thing I want to know is why people like me have the excessive sweating side effect from creatine. Still not got a solid answer on this which worries me so I don't take it.
TimsTuts Ha ha, I was reading up on it and the closest answer I can find is that people with kidney damage sweat more because it's how the body removes excess creatinine when the kidneys can't cope. My line of thinking is that the heightened creatine (and therefore creatinine waste product) levels mean the kidneys are struggling to process it all so the body sweats it out instead. In any event, sweating profusely isn't worth an inch of more strength in the gym to me. And that's even before you factor in the chance of kidney stress evidenced by the heightened sweating. So for me, similar to pre-workouts, I give this stuff a miss.
@@FantaLiteBrav If u alrdy have some sort of kidney problems that creatine is a no go, its not a miss for the general population unless you're a non responder
I mean it does say podcast in the title. If it was like 2 minutes it'd be a pretty shitty podcast. Also to go over the benefits and negative impacts at different ages is pretty important in this discussion.

Can my 13 year old take these products? How much? Pre and Post workouts? Any solid information and help would be appreciated. Thanks
It's up to you but there's a way to think about supplements. Its like having a tool box and if one tool is working use it, if it stops working try another tool. If I were you I'd wait until you hit a plateau
Yes..i am 15 year athelete...and even you eat meat cooking anyway denatures it..3 to 5 gms a day is absolutely safe...i have been taking it for 2 years
@@sciencebehindthehype8136 you’ve been doing it since you were 13? If so has it stunt your growth, how tall have you’ve grown in those 2 years you’ve been taking it?
You definitely dont. Most doctors are not up on their education and only read medical pamphlets that are given to them by Pharma. PHD can be in many subjects. Most of what doctors learn is wrong.
Yes..study on rugby players showed that creatine supplenentations increased dht level by 40 percent but not all experienced hair loss...if you have heredity of hairloss you must be carefull..if not..you ate good to go
