Overall I really like Hide & Seek, but it does need more maps, more Hider cars & get rid of the annoying fog!

I think that fog is really needed in this gamemode because it makes the seeking and hiding more interesting and even harder. For me that's also atmosphere) So that's my opinion
I agree! Hiders had it easy at first, but now it feels pretty well balanced. The fog obscures vision, but so do the onscreen messages! Trying to weave thru trees when these massive messages appear is incredibly annoying.
personally like the idea of being able to turn off our lights. also agree on needing more maps and car for the hiders.
I think they should also add a levelling system for eliminator because we have levels for horizon open and hide and seek so I think that the eliminator needs it as well
Well, they won’t at this point I doubt, but that actually crossed my mind yesterday.
I was like “I wonder why Eliminator didn’t have these 1,000 levels”
@@stevio2175 I reckon they won’t do it yet but I think they’ll do it at some point in the future
Overall, I like it. However, I think one rule they could've made is once the zone becomes available for the Hider, they should no longer be able to use chase braker. There have been too many times (at least in my games) where the Hider will approach the zone and then use chase braker so they can coast easily into the zone to get the win.
Most likely the team of seekers did not get enough detection in the first 4 minutes anyway.
The main thing to help with this though, is like I mentioned in the video, the destination should be no more than maybe like 25% progressed for the hider when it starts. I’ve seen a few times they are 75% there right when the destination shows. Chase breaker or not, wouldn’t matter in these scenarios.
IMO, it is an enjoyable game mode! However, as a Seeking team, you need competent seeker teammates... had a lot of games where there were only 2-3 active seekers, making it almost impossible to win. However, if the seekers can coordinate, they make life hard for the hider. Had my first loss as a hider to a very good team of seekers who actually worked together, frustrating but GGs! Feels like the balance will improve once people learn the tactics better, so your videos would really help :)
They definitely should let us use our own cars by tier level
Agree, heavy fog is the worst.
My biggest gripes with the current game set up:
Getting hit with a breaker shouldn’t make you come to a complete stop. Slow me down, cut my engine, whatever. But a complete stop? Absolutely absurd.
Second gripe: The location of the in-game alerts needs to move. FILLING up the middle my screen with “you pinged the hider” or “ping recharging” when I’m trying to spot a tiny pair of tail lights in the foggy jungle is so frustrating. It for sure has affected the outcome of a couple of games. Or at least let me have the option to turn them off.
For people with vision trouble it would be nice to have one map that is daytime/late afternoon. Add a storm to make it more of a challenge. I really like this game mode but I don’t play this mode much because I can’t see in the dark and the fog. I’m sure we are few in number and that won’t change the game so I will be a random for this event. Thanks for this video and look forward to more tips and tricks on ways to play. ❤
The current maps do have sunny clear daytime, but it seems very rare that those conditions actually show up, unfortunately.

My initial frustration with the learning curve has passed. Loving it now.
As someone who does have vision problems, I can attest that the fog is most annoying. Especially with the Playa Azul location and trying to get around through the trees.
I haven't played this game mode yet, so I can't judge it too much. On the concept as a whole, it's not as appealing to me as The Eliminator. It seems like something that's meant to be played as a group, and I usually play solo. It's also nowhere near as hype as when Eliminator came out.

Since when do you only play solo? You used to always join the streams for the Playlist and racing!
Yeah, I always enjoyed doing racing stuff. Playground games is good fun, so I'd probably enjoy playing hide and seek on stream. Or with people from the discord. I just don't do that very often.
I agree we need more maps, I played 45 sessions and I think I was a seeker in Guanajuato at least 30 of those.. They also need to adjust something about the streak, my game crashed a few times and each time it does it resets my streak to 0... so I'm just not able to get those streak badges. About the fog, I guess PC users have an advantage here... we can turn it off in the graphics lol
I tried it once and have no desire to do it again.
You need to give it a chance so you can actually learn how to play!
It becomes more fun as you understand all the methods 👍🏼
When I 1st played i really didn't like it but the more i played i really enjoy it now especially when it's with members and we have voice chat, makes it so much better.

It is pretty good. I agree there needs to be more maps.
Hopefully we end up with 8-10 down the road
They need to do three things IMO
- Remove the fog. Genuinely dont get why they even added it 🤷♂️.
- Nerf Chase Breaker. They need to increase the time inbetween being able to chase breaker. You basically just breaker, go a bit of distance, and then breaker again. I've been in a last ditch game where the hider had 75% and was using their chase breaker when i saw them, and i caught up and blocked the hider, doing a good job stopping them from being able to progress. When they just use the chase breaker again, immediately winning from it. Increasing the time in-between breakers makes the hider have to actually learn when the ideal time to use the breaker is, rather than just being able to abuse it.
- Being able to adjust time limits, etc in custom games.
The best thing I can say about this new game mode is, I like it way better than The Eliminator.

If there are 5 seekers, and they all kind of know what to do and give effort, I agree
@@stevio2175i'm kind of biased against eliminator because if it wasn't for it i would already have 100% achievements on both horizon 4 and 5
@@ThrasherGT40 I hope they don't add achievements for Hide & Seek Because then I will feel the need to grind them out. I actually enjoyed getting all of The Eliminator achievements.
@@DrivingGod21 1000 levels for badges , hide n seek is a grind for a badge.
@@johncooper1144 I cared about the accolades for a while, but I've given up on those. I never cared about the badges. Only the seasonal ones.
My 3 main criticisms:
Need more maps
The main town map (idk how to spell it lol) is impossible as a seeker
Impossible to see anything in the fog on
But overall I like it :)
A good tip for the seekers, especially in town, is to have your radio turned off. You can hear the hiders engine if you're close & get a good sense of which direction they've taken at a junction 😉
That first launch week I remember there was voicechat in races and it was awful. Is it completely gone now?
Fun at first. Later on booooring. Im starting to play with one seeker. People leave game as seekers...

I also think they need to separate mulege and horizon Mexico into 2 separate arenas and there should also be an arena for the airfield
I agree. They both could be their own maps. All the open area is unnecessary.
I’ve been really enjoying it so far, I do prefer eliminator tho but I really like the hide and seek. Also I was in a game recently and one of my teammates had a livery on their Subaru so I don’t know whether they’re hacking or not.
I think Draco had a cop livery in one of the gameplays so I think it is legit.
I like Eliminator, but FH4’s version was more enjoyable.
To be honest with you guys when I was younger I used be love hide and seek after two years I hate hide and seek 😑 because my little cousin takes so long and funny is I sleep under a bush 🤣
I dont enjoy it but im probably the minority just not enjoying forza anymore
I dont play it outside unlocking a car weekly and its just boring, im not holding any high hopes for FH6 at this point and probably just me being burnt out
I think the whole series needs a reboot in my honest opinion but.. make it an old school TDU/TDU2 game. Only way i can enjoy ppen world racers now after getting back in to tdu2 lately!

I don't like it. There's no way you can blend into traffic like the mode tells you to. You basically just run the entire time. There's no way you can actually just hide like the title of the game mode

There's a couple of very nice hiding places I've found 😏
they are adding 3 new maps on the next update and new vehicles...
