Great video Nick! I learned a lot of new things I didn’t really even consider. I'm so glad I managed to buy this game with all its DLC's like 2 years ago. I had so much fun playing FH4 and it's honestly sad to see the game being delisted but I already expected it to happen sooner or later. Hopefully, it being delisted means that Forza Horizon 6 is somewhat close to being at least announced. They are delisting the game because of the obvious licensing issue and because they don't want to have 3 Forza Horizon games on gamepass and on the store.
It’s ashamed they are delisting FH4. But I’m more ashamed that I can’t get the DLC for FH1-3. As well as other racing games like Test Drive Unlimited 1-2 or FM1-7 :(
Forza 5 challenge idea: best car for every class. Everyone picks car then first race in B class. Next upgrade that same car to A class and so on until S2 (Make sure to choose a car with enough upgrades to get from B to S2)
It's also interesting with licencing that hot wheels doesn't have a licencing agreement with Ferrari anymore so you can't get a model of a Ferrari, the licensing agreement ended in the early 2010s and I'm guessing Ferrari won't let hot wheels renew it.
Its because Hot Wheels cars are not true 1:64, theyre sliiiiiiiightly squashed and stretched to make them roll better. Ferrari took this as a significant enough change to their designs that they backed out of their license with Mattel entirely, not just Hot Wheels. That unfortunately meant that despite the much more close to "true" 1:64 proportions of Matchbox cars, they also lost the license too. 😢

Nick, I have a question. I’m debating on getting FH4 before it leaves in December, I want it so bad but I don’t know if I should get it. And also, about the game token. If I downloaded FH4 from gamepass, I just get the token? Or do I need to download it from gamepass, buy a DLC then I get the token?
Microsoft said those who will buy it in xbox game pass before 29th June they will recieve a token laterly for this game. For you it would be better if you download it directly in your pc or buy a copy for this game ( windows version)
Speaking of complicated licensing Porshe is another one that is really picky look how long it took them to agree to be in Forza and not just be a RUF custom. Even the first time back they wanted to be a paid DLC and the damage models has to be scaled back. Even in the toy world they refused to allow Hasbro to use the Porshe logos on Jazz or Dead end all because they didn't want their name on a toy that turned into a fighting robot in a war (might have to do with something in the 1940's) Also yes Ferrari is very picky when Mattel Hot Wheels started putting nonofficial looking graphics on the cars back in the mid 2010's they didn't renew the licensing granted you can put whatever you want on them in the creative hub but for mass-market it was a no no. Also, that why some other brands sold them as 1:64th model kits so they were no longer toy cars but a model kit. At least they are keeping the online stuff up and even can still play it offline unlike The Crew games once they go offline they will be dead since no offline support for them.
Forza needs to stop doing these licensing for real world areas bc if most NFS and TDU can be played to this day old motorsports and Horizon should be able to stay online still
So essentially if I want the developers to put in a 1998 Ford Mercury Mountaineer in the game they would have to go to Ford and ask them for it and if so how do I do that???
Hey nick I thought I might as well give it a shot reaching out to you on this topic. I recently got a pc and downloaded fh5 on it and made sure to sign into the same account that I’ve been using for years on my Xbox but none of my stuff carried over and I got started back from the beginning after like 700 hours on the game so I then gave up and went to play it on my Xbox and turns out I lost all my stuff on there too. So if anyone happens to know how to help that would be great!
The thing that always gets me about delisting and why they SHOULDNT do it is that people that are passionate, theyre going to find ways to get the game anyway. (Yo ho ho, you are a pirate!!)
Once you volunteer to provide lifetime support, servers, bug fixes, on and on and on, companies can stop delisting. So, do you have a few billion laying around? No? Why do you hate FH4? I assume you are like 12, so here is some sage info. Nothing lasts forever my friend.
Seems like The Crew 1's *accident* leave impact so much, that Nick needs to make like, how many video was it? I think it's the second now, I thought he's already explained it before That said, he's quite chill to explain, so I can respect on that (TBH, I feels like nobody really talking about delisting when FH3 was about to delist also)
If I have the game on the Microsoft store bought, will I be able to install it after the delisting happens? If I want to install it in the future, for example.
He literally explained how to get a free code if you played on gamepass. Also, unless you physically and purposely delete your save file, you'll be fine. Any form of ownership for the game is just so the system knows you have access to the game

I’m pretty sure the main stream panic was due to Ubisoft and the crew being removed from anything.
This is so sad man. great games like forza horizon and grid are lost forever
FH4 was an absolute amazing game
I wasn’t able to purchase the DLCs in time. I will never get to experience that content.
I can't believe this video was needed 🤦
Nick, I have a question.
I’m debating on getting FH4 before it leaves in December, I want it so bad but I don’t know if I should get it.
And also, about the game token.
If I downloaded FH4 from gamepass, I just get the token? Or do I need to download it from gamepass, buy a DLC then I get the token?
Microsoft said those who will buy it in xbox game pass before 29th June they will recieve a token laterly for this game.
For you it would be better if you download it directly in your pc or buy a copy for this game ( windows version)
I just started playing again since I don’t have forza 5 just gonna have to buy them both now lol
Speaking of complicated licensing Porshe is another one that is really picky look how long it took them to agree to be in Forza and not just be a RUF custom. Even the first time back they wanted to be a paid DLC and the damage models has to be scaled back. Even in the toy world they refused to allow Hasbro to use the Porshe logos on Jazz or Dead end all because they didn't want their name on a toy that turned into a fighting robot in a war (might have to do with something in the 1940's)
Also yes Ferrari is very picky when Mattel Hot Wheels started putting nonofficial looking graphics on the cars back in the mid 2010's they didn't renew the licensing granted you can put whatever you want on them in the creative hub but for mass-market it was a no no. Also, that why some other brands sold them as 1:64th model kits so they were no longer toy cars but a model kit.
At least they are keeping the online stuff up and even can still play it offline unlike The Crew games once they go offline they will be dead since no offline support for them.
Forza needs to stop doing these licensing for real world areas bc if most NFS and TDU can be played to this day old motorsports and Horizon should be able to stay online still
Huh? The old FH games are still online. You just cannot buy them anymore. If you own the game you can still play them.
So essentially if I want the developers to put in a 1998 Ford Mercury Mountaineer in the game they would have to go to Ford and ask them for it and if so how do I do that???
Still haven't received the game token despite having all the DLC bar one, thanks Microsoft.
damn a lot of games have been getting delisted this year like spec ops the line :(
You should do a challenge video of what’s the best speed champions Lego set car like the Supra that you have
All racing games are being delisted 😆 how can anyone ask this question.. It's not like you can still buy FH1, 2, and 3 still
How do defunct manufacturer licensing agreements work? Like if Saturn was put into FH5, would devs have to go to GM?
Also why GTA 5 has stayed around for so long. About zero licensing other than songs. Knockoff cars, brands, locations, etc
I guess this is why there are cracks out there on running the game for free, because there is no other way to get the game anymore
i still haven't got my code yet , bought Fortune Island in 2021 and still continuing from GP ultimate to PC Gamepass
Were all the songs in FH4 caught with copyright strike?
This is why we need more burnout games
Wouldn’t be that bad if they were actually releasing titles every 2 years like how they used to.
Licensing issues with Porsche is also the reason why Ruf isn't in the game.
Nick and keep up the good work real true and I good the video
Since Pontic and Plymouth aren’t a thing anymore, who signs the license? Mopar and GM?
Yes, because even though they are defunct brands, Chrysler still owns Plymouth and GM still owns Pontiac
i have the game digital, so when i delete it can i still re-download it?
I believe so
Yes
I really hope fh6 Japan will be announced at Xbox Tokyo game show . That would be so sick
Well hey, I still own it, maybe I should get my best tunes out there, And move over to Fh5
Nobody knows the license agreement. It would be nice to know how long a game will last.
There is no cross-saves between pc and console unfortunately.
Aight imma go to a universe where licensing doesn't exist
It is licencing, but I would say it's all Ferrari's fault. Every time. Otherwise we could have it for a few more years.
The thing that always gets me about delisting and why they SHOULDNT do it is that people that are passionate, theyre going to find ways to get the game anyway. (Yo ho ho, you are a pirate!!)
bro thinks they delist by choice lol
Once you volunteer to provide lifetime support, servers, bug fixes, on and on and on, companies can stop delisting. So, do you have a few billion laying around? No? Why do you hate FH4? I assume you are like 12, so here is some sage info. Nothing lasts forever my friend.
Fr@@AR12Gaming
No, we don't. Everyone who know how it works know why it will be delisted.
This Is Why I Stopped Playing These Games The Last Game I Played Was Forza 3
6:57 Man, Ferrari is so cool.
DAY 8 OF ASKING NICK WHEN THE NEXT MIATA RACING VIDEO COMES OUT 😅
will it be removed from gamepass
Lots of skill issues in the camaro
Seems like The Crew 1's *accident* leave impact so much, that Nick needs to make like, how many video was it? I think it's the second now, I thought he's already explained it before
That said, he's quite chill to explain, so I can respect on that (TBH, I feels like nobody really talking about delisting when FH3 was about to delist also)
again i dont think the licence is the reason is not in a forza game if it where i doubt motorfest and gt7 would have the car
Wait so if you have a fully payed game pass, when do you get the code for fh4?
WE NEED MORE BBS WHEELS ......
Will you still be able to buy the forza horizon 4 dlc like the Lego pack and fortune island
You cant even now
They're included in the ultimate edition.
Will it still work on game pass? Or will it still work on game pass if you bought something?
But when Horizon 5 shuts down, you basically have an empty disc. So the only way of preservation remains piracy.
i always wondered why there is no rolls royce in fh4 ?
you should have mentioned about car damage
How did gta5 not get sued yet😭🙏
why they should be ?
@@Luxx04 did you ever see cars in the game😭😭😭
@@Panther-155 seems you never played gta5
I know exactly what im talking about
@@Luxx04 like bugati in gta(podium veichle) and irl are the same
@@Panther-155 so what that its similar? Its not bugatti so no trouble for them..
All i wanna know is can we still bug the dlcs after it gets delisted?
Can you put the car volume up, I can’t hear the car
If I have the game on the Microsoft store bought, will I be able to install it after the delisting happens? If I want to install it in the future, for example.
Yes
What date do we get the code for the game have I missed it
How the hell are point able to play the older games???
I have it on game pass will I still be able to play ( I have game pass ultimate)
Could I buy it off game pass so my progress stays
He literally explained how to get a free code if you played on gamepass. Also, unless you physically and purposely delete your save file, you'll be fine. Any form of ownership for the game is just so the system knows you have access to the game
@@williamulrey4552yeah I heard but I was wondering if the free pass was for listed games only
