Love your DiveVolk reviews. Regarding the cardboard membrane protector I fully agree, it's kinda flimsy (and made of cardboard. Water and cardboard are not good companions!) A quick DIY fixed that. I cut out a piece of plastic (0.6mm), such as from a Tupper-ware box or similar, using the cardboard protector as a template. It is waterproof, much more rugged that cardboard and I can cut out any small deviations I might want. In 4 weeks I am even gonna stuff the DiveVolk housing and new membrane protector in a full size back-pack and check it in as airplane luggage (cross fingers)

There are a couple. on Amazon. SLOW DOLPHIN 1/4 Inch Hot Shoe Mount Adapter Tripod Screw for DSLR Camera or GEPULY 4-Pack Cold Shoe Mount Adapters,1/4" Thread Hole Cold Shoe Bracket
The tripod mounts just fine on the tray. there are two screw mounts in the tray and the one in the center fits perfectly. I just got mine today and thought there wasn't a mounting point, but then was really looking at it and by the two mounting knobs for attachment to the accessory clamp, there are two threaded holes for mounting the tripod.
My issue with the diveVolk tripod is not the mounting. It’s that it is not strong enough to hold my rig. Glad it works for you. Good luck and safe diving.
@@watertrek360 but underwater...weightless...it's not strong enough? And actually, I had to take the compression knob off the tripod...then screw it into the threaded screw mount on the right or left (the ones that you ground down from underneath) and then screwed the compression knob and screw it on top...I can send a photo if you like.
I like your videos a lot but with this one I"m kinda stumped, I'm watching it because I bought a lens holder, well two so I can swap out the lenses by moving them but the bracket holder doesn't fit easily onto the body, I've been having a nightmare trying to secure it.

Thanks for the excellent review. I’m pretty pumped, my son and I have a trip planned for Cozumel around the holidays. I just picked up the sea touch 4 max housing for the iPhone 15 pro max. I also got the same tray and red/magenta filters. I’ve got 2 ball mounts on order and am really considering some floats. I found some online but it appears they are all shipping from China, Where did you order your 5” floats from? Thanks!
yes I have used it in colder water. Initially I did have issues. Gloves impact sensitivity, but I made some adjustments. I added a small lift to the sleeve to bring phone closer to the membrane. I also learned to slow down and press more cautiously. Make sure assistive touch is on, raise to wake, and all setting done, so you simply need to turn on and off recording or taking a picture. Lastly when I need a heavy glove, on the index finger, I created a flap, down to the first small knuckle, so that if I had an issue, I could at least deal with it.
Great, informative video. Can I ask where you purchased the shoe mount that is fitted to the Divevolk Expansion Clamp? I looked on the Divevolk website but there is nothing advertised there. I am looking to have a similar set up as yours with my GoPro fitted above the SeaTouch 4 Max. Thanks.
Do you happen to know if a Divevolk Seatouch 5 Max might be coming out anytime soon? Also, do you know if the iPhone 15 Pro works with the Seatouch 4 Max?
I know iPhone 15 is coming soon. I hear it has a telescopic lens. If it does it may no longer fit the Seatouch 4. Don’t have dimensions yet so I am not sure. That’s why the 5 max may be pending.

My biggest concern was the reliability of the membrane (and the possibility of ruining my iPhone!), but I'm a recreational diver and rarely go below 60 feet. The iPhones 15 / 15Pro / 15 Pro Max were announced yesterday. Hopefully, we will hear from Divevolk soon as to whether the Seatouch 4 Max works with the 15 Pro.
I just checked the Divevolk website. The Seatouch 4 Max DOES support all of the the new iPhones. I'm getting the iPhone 15 Pro (an upgrade from my 13 Pro). Then I'll pick up a Seatouch 4 Max before we head to the Florida Keys in our RV this winter!

Why do you shoot with an iPhone and a GoPro? Also, great job working with the company and making improvements to the product!
It gives me an easy comparison between the two. And since there is a known focus issue for the iPhone 14 pro UW sometimes. It’s a back up.

Two other items. Oceanic app is a subscription. And iPhone depth and camera bump out went up. Checking on exactly how much.
