Here’s a little tutorial on how to put together the Divevolk tray and how I attached our Backscatter lights. No GoPro here - use your phone camera to do underwater photography instead!
Mounting the lights will require two M6x20 screws, preferably a pan head with washers, I’d also suggest some thread locker.

Hi Tres Travelers. Thanks for the video. I also have the Backscatter tray and 2x Backscatter video lights (which I am quite fond of). Do you know if the Divevolk housing can be placed on the Backscatter tray? It would save me from having to purchase the Divevolk tray (and sorta skip the tinkering process which you describe in the end). :) Cheers!

Yes. I too have the Backscatter tray and the Divevolk fits perfectly. You can see it in my video last year - ruclips.net/video/vIiZF9S_SCQ/видео.htmlsi=VCgOF7NB4O4EnDdx

unfortunately, the cool backscatter go pro tray (~8 inches) is too narrow for the width of the dive volk housing (8.9 inches),

Hi, I'm hoping you can help me by answering some questions please, I have already purchased the backscatter tray and 2X the backscatter video lights with the flexable arms...
My question is regarding the buoyancy of the lights when diving under water... are they somewhat neutrally buoyant? do i need floats for each backscatter video light?
And regards to the flex arms, are they strong enough while diving underwater (they feel really flimsy on 1 atmosphere. In fact the whole system of videos lights and flex arms feels really flimsy on land..
    Thanks soo much

I too have the backscatter tray and the video lights. You don’t need floats for each backscatter video light.
The flex arms are strong enough. Watch the tutorial on the backscatter website as they will tell you to position both lights slightly at the back of your camera.
If you test the flex arms, they are a bit hard to move and that’s great so you can position them and they stay in place.
Just remember that if you’re on a boat dive, you have to be in the water first and then have them hand your camera to you. Don’t jump off with it. Hope that answers your questions.
