In 2024, one of my monster truck driving heroes *Finished. The. Mission.* Thanks for all the memories King of Air, God speed Tom Meents.
The Baltimore crash scared the shit out of me. My heart sank when he hit the ramp. I was there.
4:04 you should've mentioned how Tom won that racing championship with a broken truck. the rear was swaying like crazy when he lapped around the track, and after he won you can see the destroyed shock tower. he beat damon bradshaw, one of the best truck drivers to ever drive, with a broken truck. Tom is a legend
@@ALouisae I actually never knew that, only Tom could run a truck that hard and still win!
@@OffTrackProductionsMTyeah so in the semi-final race between tom and adam, tom landed the truck sideways and ended up breaking the right upper 4link. i’m assuming the team decides it’s too much damage to fix in time, so they say screw it and take a broken truck to the finals. tom wins the final race, and on the landing of the jump the left shock tower cripples and bends in on itself and eventually just falls apart.
I was lucky enough to be at Tom’s final stop here in Houston for show 1, and I was excited to see the Maximum Destruction body again. Growing up a fan of the truck, it was cooler for me to finally meet the 2 drivers I’ve always wanted to meet in Neil Elliott once in 2018 and Tom himself twice in 2020 a little over a month before the pandemic and 2023. I was fortunate to see Tom in person those few times, and he never disappointed, meeting him and seeing him do what he did best
I love your videos. You deserve so many more subscribers. Keep up the good work. Also, have you ever noticed blue thunder had big names for drivers but they always did better after they left blue thunder and drove a new truck?
Hell Ya New Video!
Awesome video. I love how much effort you put into these
@@Colonel_Kitty Thank you so much! I’m still new to all of this so it’ll keep getting better from here hopefully!
3:17 Baltimore 2011, my first ever Stadium show in my now 20 years as a fan, and by god that man left me speechless. One of only two times I ever saw Tom win live, and it was beyond special for me to witness.
He also assisted in the Brodozer plane stunt in 2019.
Fantastic job!
@@SquareZeroChannel Thank you for not letting Atlanta 2010 be lost media! I owe you a debt for that one ❤️
