To prepare salted cod for eating first you must soak it in water, the boil it, drain it , if it is still too salt boil again, only about 7 minutes, drain then remove any bone you can, saute some onions add cod fish, cook ten minutes and it's ready to eat
Usually boiled with pork fat and potatoes it s delicious if done right it’s called salt cod and scrunches or made into fish cakes it’s been a staple for hundreds of years the basques fisher men from Spain have been fishing the Canadian grand banke be fore Canada was a recognized country a long history of cod
@@stephenswistchew7720considering my country is the biggest consumer of codfish in the world (even for such a small country) i have never seen someone frying cod to be honest but I wonder how it tastes
First you have to boil it to get a most of the salt out, the salt is mainly a preservative. We eat this a lot in the Caribbean. After you boil most of the salt out you pick it apart to get the bones out, then in another pot you saute onions, garlic, peepers, tomatoes etc then add the shredded salted fish in it & let it simmer. It's absolutely delicious

Cod smells alot
Why is that water so nasty at the fish processing plant? They need to fix that right away.
It's probably from all the debris from the fish. That's why they keep putting it in different water to make sure the fish is clean.
Is not their fault. That's debri from fishing. Why u think they clean 10 times before processing it. It's just how sht is.
Well how clean the water be if a 100 people were processed in water ? LOL
Because the fish are nasty.
The fish have been bled. Its ice cold sea.watet it gets cleaner after each process on the assembly line
How is it eaten salty? And why cod fish expensive if there are so many of it?
