Quick, let's go before everyone else gets here !
love how Len is such a solid foundation. Matt is an amazing talented and confident man who listened and learned from his dad .. and we're watching Terrance become a combination of the two .. Mom is watching and smiling at her boys, you guys are awesome. Thank you for sharing what you do ! Really nice clean deck, as a former Coastie , I appreciate keeping it clear !
18.00 Slammed the whole line !! wow ! :)
Good to see the EIS Family back on the fish. Will there be a part II to this, showing offloading of fish? Like to see that as well.😊
I really enjoy watching your videos, I'm from central Minnesota on the prairie. We raise crops and cattle here, our hobby is fresh water fishing on out lakes. We also have our ice fish houses for the winter! Favorite catches are Walleye, Crappie, and Sunfish. I really enjoy the diversity of catch you guys go after and the scenic places you are fishing. One of my bucket list trips is two weeks in Alaska to do some exploring and fishing.
That would be an amazing trip for you, hope you can make it up someday! We really enjoy watching farming content as well, it really interesting how many turning gears there are in different operations!
Hace frío hay donde viven
Hello from Norway😊. As a former fisherman here in Norway I wonder the reason why you are not bleeding out the cod? Here in Norway this is our premier product and the price are record high. About 7 usd pr pound.
Love your channel👍😊
We do bleed out all of our fish, I guess none of that made the edit, not intentionally but just how it ended up. Thanks for the comment!
A most welcomed change. Enjoyed Cod fishing, & the scenery. Happy Fathers Day Dad!
Glad you enjoyed it! Have a happy Father's Day!
Why don’t they keep the fish iced…?
Like the new rails top job
Great Video guys! Great camera angle! Love the mic set up. Love hearing the banter between you guys, and all the sounds you hear.on a fishing boat! Felt like I was there with you!! Thanks 👍. And keep it up. Your friend, the old VT logger.
Hey good to see you! And thank so much for taking the time to watch and comment!
Hello Guys I'm Watching Your RUclips video From SINGAPORE 🇸🇬
Hello! Thanks for watching.
You have two sons on your boat, why doesn’t the other one fish? If he is doing the videoing, then it would be great if he added some commentary to the video.
When bleeding are you targeting the gills or the arteries in front of the heart? I would like to see exactly how you guys do it.
Oooo love that opening shot! You can't get better quality fish delivered to your door!! Fantastic service Fantastic products !! Stay safe guys! Say hi to Anita from me!!
Sitting in a chair you make it look so simple. We know what it’s like. Thank you
Thank you, Marilyn!
Hi guys I m looking at your proceed like I have four years but this times tide seem A little strong I know you can't change that but jus A suggestion that maybe when it s like that you can A mother place on the bar where you can make them further. A part. I know you don't like changes. But if it seems to be. A pain u can think. About. It. But I think I know the answer maybe leave good enough. Alone. Only kidding. Haha
Good u are looking after your cod population. Not much left in danish waters now because of overfishing
Where can I buy one of these jigging machines? Could you include a link? Thanks.
They are called bandit reels on the interwebs. Here is a google link alltackle.com/waterman-industries-bandit-reel-electric-12v-w-aluminum-spool/
There were some real fatties on those strings!
I'm not sure that Matt's experiments with lifting two strings on one reel is paying off......
Drama, comedy, romance, action, fear and suspense. Tristan conveys it all with just the tilt of his head or the twitch of an eyebrow. Masterful screen presence.
Hahaha! Thanks a bunch Captain, love the comment.
Dream come true, how much would it cost to be able to join you guys on this trip? I live in Toronto, Canada
Good morning all watching from Australia, look forward to your video's. Would love to come over there 1day
Good morning, and thanks for tuning in! We'd also love to come down your way!
Tristin needs a couple of jiggers on starboard side for some family competition
Haha! Maybe on the big boat, I think we'd get a lot of tangles and chaos on our small deck aboard the Fish Tale.
Apakah alat ini jg bisa digunakan di laut tropis seperti di Indonesia?
Cuántos kilos caben en ese barco
Around 18 thousand pounds when she'd plugged.
How come when cod fishing sometimes you clean/gut the fish and other times you don’t?
The small coding are really good to eat the same day, fried in butter, the big’uns the next day, to set the meat,
Why not put them on ice right after you catch them
This looks stupid and odd
How do you keep from catching Rockfish instead of cod?
It all depends on where you fish. Rockfish tend to stick around hard bottom and rocky edges. Cod like sand and gravel especially this time of year for spawning.
I have the grill ready! Hello from Chiang Mai, Thailland
Hello! Thanks for commenting!
Hi guys I love the new wiring the snazzy switches so neat and tidy 👍. That is the first time we have heard of the grey cod. Another fish for market. Thanks for the channel it’s awesome
Thanks a bunch! I'll have to record rebuilding the last one, I was kind of in a rush to knock these out so I didn't have the chance to film it.
Very different to North Sea Cod, a full grown is at least 6 feet nose to tail fork
I like cod fish can you give me some please
Pops getting snippy and he should. Shouldn't get to the point when you have to pull bait now and get in the way of a pull. Tristen needs to be careful walking around with that knife. Seen a guy doing the same and slipped, darn near killed himself and ended the day of fishing due to emergency. He actually even had a bobble around 35:49. He needs to know when there are 3 squidy left not when your at the last one. I'm sorry as I'm sure you don't need to hear it from the likes of me but it's all about efficiency
Pops kept slamming line full of cows, my lord 25:25
Tight lines and smooth seas
new camera looks awesome
Alright men looks to be a good day to be out...Blessings
Thanks, Raven! It was a great day!
Why aren’t you bleeding them
Have you ever tried "fish bites" instead of chunking squid every time? you can probably catch 3-6 fish before a new piece is needed.
I love fishing, life is hard you just gonna more harder if you give up. I been fishing as assistant chief engineer of American tuna fleet.❤❤❤
What's the minimum purchase amount?
Brought back some old memories from late 80s. Mustard auto systems in Kodiak bays. Also squid for bait. Lots of fish not much money. Exon spill sent us packing.
Awesome looks like busy catching all those tasty cod's! Keep fishing EIS crew! Stay safe! 👍👍🎣🎣
That 8 legged pacific cod is a rare find! Yeah, I know it was an octapus, but I had to try and make it funny. Nice catch though! Some good fat ones!
I notice a lot more "skips" between fish on your jig lines fishing cod vs catching rockfish. I see that you are supplementing jigs with bait so may be attributed to bait loss or school mass. Just wondering if you've noticed certain color jig skirt producing better than others cod fishing? I always had best luck using peanut butter brown colors fishing for cod or rockfish in days I commercially fished.
The Sierra's are something special, but it's pretty far out to see the mountains bloom right from sea leavel...
nice job guys! i love those downriggers! i'm running a couple of cannon mag 10's on my lund. we don't get cod in minnesota but we get the walleye and lake trout. thanks, fun to watch
Was in Kodiak 80/81 with the Coast Guard. Wish I had stayed. Thanks for bringing back some memories.
I thought it would be sport fishing
Nice big ones. How about sharing a view of your sonar? Just curious how the fish appear on the screen. Thanks.
What's the average weight of the Cod's you're catching? What's the deciding factor before moving to different lacation? To avoid overfishing in a particular location or lack of biting? When you bleed the Cod I see you putting a knife in the gill location but don't see if you sever the neck?
I've noticed that the stabilizers only come out when Mom is on board. Maybe it's just a coincidence.
Wow! great opening shot, looks like you're in for a beautiful day. Thanks for the info on the equipment you're using.
Lucky Edmonds in Candler NC like all the show keep up the good work
Another day of decent weather and some fine strings of fish brought aboard! Congratulations to the winner of yesterday's EIS Alaska fish drawing!! -Bob...
Snow cap mountain's, breathtaking .
Great teamwork guys some nice big Cod as well..Cant wait to see the offload.
Stay safe guys.
Nice to see how you manage the fish you go for as it must help with stocks. Not in my country anyone and everyone fishes our waters so fish don't stand a chance.
Great content as usual lads, wish I lived nearer to Alaska to purchase your goods.
What do you use for bait & must be a big population of Cod in Alaska
Are they found in the same areas you find halibut? Sandy bottom?
do you bleed your fish
Qual o nome desses anzol ou tipo de isca vocês usam, onde comprar??????
hi there what company name reels machine thank you really nice video..
thank you landlocked missouri
dope music track half way in this video 😎
Looks back braking
Am learning from u
T is like What do you mean no cheese...take this ship into shore if I aint got cheese I ainta fishin no more
Eu moro no Brasil , e adoro assistir seus vídeos
Thanks!
It seems that the two units on the back are angled towards each other, that may be what is contributing to the tangles.
spend half a day cutting baits up then stick them in bins in the chiller, so you spend less time cutting and baiting up, just reach in grab some baits and send the hooks back...
I have a friend that lives in Kodiak. I may just have to pay him a visit.
Len, do you fish certain areas for the different species you go after, or do the fish run threw at different time of the year?
PS: Those are some healthy i.e. meaty fish you are pulling in.
No bleeding?
looked like you guys got some nice big units............well done.........
Uzun süredir yoktunuz, özledik sizleri
Great vid as always guys. T you rock man!
Those were some really nice hauls and great size fish to stay safe my friends
Happy Father's Day!
Same to you!
love how you guys are stacking your downrigger line
I've always been surprised that you guys fish Cod out of such a small boat. I would have thought that the big C/P Longliners would come down and suck up all the quota, to say nothing of the trawlers. Is it because you guys sell direct to consumer that you can compete with those cooperate boats or is there some sort of regulatory protection in the gulf that doesn't exist in the Bering Sea?
@benosick8542 Hi. The gulf of Alaska cod quota is split between federal and state fisheries. The state gets 25% of the gulf TAC and it is split between jig and pot gear in the Kodiak area.
Y in
Is their a projection on the completion of the other boat
You guys make hard work look easy.... good luck and tight lines
Are there strict rules on what can be caught and when. Why do you throw flatties back and halibut. Very interesting videos .
Yes. There are seasons for all fish species and quotas are set for different gear types. Halibut is managed under a Individual Fishing Permit and cannot be retained unless you are licensed to keep them.
What a great view out of your office window.
A great team ye guys are 😊
Thanks!
Beautiful way to make a living
Nice ! How deep were you fishing?
If you run out of bait can you use cod chunks
I love your setup looking great
Can you ship fish to Canada ?
Does Jr ever run the drop lines?
Some nice looking cod in the mix
Nice grade of fish
Do you wash the fish off with stored fresh water or do you pump salt water onto the boat? Those are some beautiful cod for sure!
Just seawater. Yes, they were very nice fish!
Shame on you, those are babies you catch 😠
Ten pound average. Big cod for Kodiak.
@@EISAlaska in 🇳🇴 they catch 20kg+ and some they take but most of catch they release for benefit of fish
Good fishing
😊😄
Merci beaucoup 👍👍👍
Do you bleed all your catch before putting it on ice?
Yep!
