The Swiss surrealist, H.R. Giger designed and created the original Alien. That broken tail section, it looks like an air bubble was trapped at that point, creating a weak spot. Surely the whole tail isn't hollow is it?

I just got this statue today 5/1/24 after waiting forever for waitlist and purchased the one with the wall like this. And Unfortunately like many others have many breakages. Unfortunately one of my dorsal tubes not only cracked but chipped off into pieces. The toe nail was broken and the heel of the alien. Did you ever get any resolution for the breakages?
Due to the backing of it. I would have it swapped with the Predator jungle hunter. Then swap the head busts so they fit.. so swap both the statues and busts with each other so that backing goes flush on the wall...
That’s a hell of a collection.. I seen you have a way to control the lights of your statues with a remote control instead of going up to turn them on, do you have a video or can you point me in the right direction to do that? I know some have been using Alexa I don’t want to go that route for a few reasons one being I heard it was pricey. I figured bcuz my collection is no where near yours I’ll start small . I’ve been trying to look it up but I haven’t found what I’m looking for, I like the setup you have later I’ll prob use the Alexa thing if my collection grows bigger but for now any help I’d appreciate it ..Thxs

Cool statue, great addition to your Alien collection. , but that flimsy card table looks like it will buckle……fingers crossed in the beginning that it would reach your garage shelving.

Did you ever get a tail replacement? I know a good way to fix/improve the damage if you didn't..
I sort of wish the base and wall is a bit darker so that there'd be more contrast between the alien and the backdrop. That said, the details and design are fantastic!

agreed your shaky cam makes triggers vertigo & got me wretching lol. I think RUclips has a free filter you can tick once you've uploaded your footage to stop shaking?

Lol! Yep. That’s what brought me here on RUclips and search the original issue. I was looking at it today and what like OMG!! 🔥 then I read the description that this was a re-release of a statue that came out less than a year ago. So much for “limited edition”. Lol! I’ll wait till it’s listed on Sideshow in a few months. I’d go with the regular version since it’s the best one with the open mouth.
Yeah, awesome statue, love my Big Chap as well. I didn’t get the DX though, just close mouth, but I dig it close, since a lot of the scenes in ALIEN he snarls before striking with an open mouth. I also have my Dog Alien (I did get the DX version). I still like the Dog Alien paint just a tad better, love his quadruped stance too. I also have the CoolProps Giger maquette. Don’t hate it too much, it’s actually the best representation of the suit at the Giger Museum, more so than the Prime 1 Museum pose statue. The museum acrylic case is pretty rad too. But the CoolProps is a tad smaller than P1 Big Chap. Sorry about the tail, hopefully you get a replacement, but can’t really see the crack unless you get super close. If they don’t give you a replacement, get some money back (or extra rewards points). Good review!

Prime 1 shady as fk. Even redesigning and fixing all the inaccuracies and flaws.
Awesome looking statue! Sorry about the tail, but you did an excellent job gluing it back together! So is that Zap a Gap just like Super Glue? If they don't have a replacement part maybe they can at least give you some reward points. But with the job you did on fixing it, you can't even tell it was broken unless you examine it up close. Great Statue though!

That's a masterpiece for sure, super high quality/detail. I'm not even that much into Alien but absolutely love looking at the statues. Sorry about the tale, hope you get a replacement!

... swap P1 Alien with the othe Alien statue. So P1 and jungle hunter face each other. Back is flush on the wall. Just need to shift the pictures over a little...

This statue has to be cursed. Multiple collectors with issues on a piece with such a low es. I get mine early next week so I'm bracing for the worst but honestly once assembled, this thing is a pure masterpiece and as a big alien fan, I know I'll love mine even if it does come with issues. Anyways great review, hopefully Prime 1 can get your sorted with a replacement tail :)
