You are aware this is New York state right? A state where most criminal charges carry no bail, the judges aren't allowed to remand criminals for most crimes, bail isn't allowed to be used as a judge's determination of guilt, and all bail amounts must be able to be reasonably payable by the plaintiff, including through installment payments.
All this, thanks to the bail reform law signed into law in 2020 and wholeheartedly embraced by the Democrat party majority in the state.
