Terran Gregory (Cinematic guy) once infamously said what many unknowledgeable in the Art of cinematography or unreasonably skeptical about the capabilities of Blizzard's Developers and Teams didn't know or did not want to believe. Every bit, every dust particle, every small critter, every piece of WoW Cinematics, is there because they actively chose to put it there, everything has a reason for being visible, obscured or simply.. being there in general. I saw the initial Spoiler that Khadgar would survive from Beta Datamining, when they found a Wheelchair named "Khadgar". But what really sold the whole ordeal as a fact, outside of the Datamining was being able to see the Dalaran Cinematic and immediately noticing that Khadgar was REACHING OUT to the singularity or black hole or whatever, created by the Dark Heart. What most assumed was a Legion moment of Khadgar being disintegrated alá Varian, was actually Blizzard blatantly showing us what Khadgar will now tell you in his "Stay a while and listen" Dialogue. He transmuted himself to magical energy to survive the blast sucked up by the Dark Heart. Getting sucked up wasn't Xal'ataths move, it was Khadgar's.

The Dark Heart is a storage Vessel, just like the Dragon Soul was. You might even say the Dark Heart was the prototype, or maybe the successor to the Dragon Soul depending on when they were built. What we saw was Xal'atath teleporting Khadgar and most of Dalaran into the Dark Heart to be fuel for her power. So My theory is it is possible that Dalaran might still be partially intact.
Not sure about that. Khadgar himself says that he transmuted himself to survive. There's a "stay and listen". We saw what happened to most of Dalaran pretty clearly, it become pebbles.

this plotline is literally just sylvanas 2.0, and thus garrosh 3.0 since they caved to alliance whining over "morally grey, cunning, plans within plans" sylvanas, so they scrapped her and turned her into garrosh like they said they wouldn't do. greymane breaks sylvanas' soulcage, alleria breaks xal'atath's darkheart. good guy breaks bad guys mcguffin.
and just liek that they RUINED WOw story - Khadgar should have stayed DEAD, aleria is badly Written wanna be edgy/emo and fragile at the same time and doesn't not land, Andwin is snooze fest, and the only GOOD WRITTEN character Xal'atath they are making her LOSE - I think she shoudla t least "win" once and than we would EARN our revenge

I'm glad people are posting this, the link to the cinematic broke when I finished the scenario and I didn't get to see this in game.
