Restoration of a Bosch Angle-Grinder

- I restored a classic Bosch Professional angle grinder from the estate of my father. The work documented in this video took me about 25 hours. The project doesn't make much sense from an economical point of view, but the pleasure I'm taking from using this tool today makes it a very good deal to me.
I am happy to receive your feedbacks, advices, suggestions to improve my videos.

I had a lot of old pipes and rebar to cut up and from what I read ruclips.net/user/postUgkxPDBfLu68o58Aw85O_J-zIFfjJARBhp-3 this would be the tool for the job. Since I had never used one, I watched a couple of youtube videos and I'm so glad I did. Some really good safety tips, which I followed, and this tool did a splendid job. One good thing to know is the weight of the tool puts just about the right amount of pressure on the metal I was cutting, so I didn't have to use a lot of pressure, which is more likely to jam the tool. It made fast work of my job.
I completely dig it - have the same affection for my grandmothers old kuk-kuk clock. It will for sure outlast me - hope my children will carry it onwards into the future.

Sir. Will it run even i not going to use the capacitor. Im planing to configure the connection just like the typical connection of a grinders that doesn't have a capacitor.

The power bus connectors looked slightly dulled.. A good brass polish up might do the trick..;)

Can you please teach us how to test the capacitor. I have a Gsw 8-100c Bosch grinder 820 watts. It is running but not that full speed. I think it has a problem with the capacitor. Every time i switch it on even a couple of seconds and turn it off, i fell that it get hot very quick.

Would of been nice to see you pull out a multi meter and run some continuity tests on the stator windings as well as the rotor.. maybe next time.. Could be a whole video in itself.. haha

You forgot to change the small bering HK0808 into the gear. It's important and influence for gear wear.
