I recently had a new musical experience: I've been dreaming music. I recently had a dream for a piece on acoustic guitar in 3/8. In the dream, I was following along with the sheet music from start-to-finish. I woke up the next morning and frantically tried scribbling it down, but to no avail. Ok, holy shit. This is easily my favorite Sungazer song now. This has got me so hyped for the new EP!
The animations of this video remind me of my own visual-snow syndrome hallucinations that I get when I close my eyes or I’m in a dark place. Just chaotic scenes that change freneticly very unrelated but slightly tied toghether somehow.

Honestly I thought Adam's music would be inaccessible, but Sungazer is like a PERFECT balance between interesting technique and interesting mixing/production.

Ben Levin's animation style is so amazing and unique. He's got this "I don't know what I'm doing, but this looks cool" kind of vibe. Oh and the music was cool too.

I have never listened to a song that encapsulated a feeling better than this encapsulates the feeling of being drunk -- or more accurately, crossfaded. I found my head swaying oddly in time with it, my brain clouding up a little bit. This is incredible.

I have to admit, I wasn't a huge fan of Sungazer at first, even though I love Adam as a RUclipsr. This animation kinda recontextualized all of it for me. It's excellent because it the whole 3d animation / film school vibe mirrors the whole music school vibe I get from the music. And that makes it truly enjoyable on a visceral level. Even on a more conscious level, I just feel like I "get it" now. And I have seen Ben's RUclips vids and love them too. I'm truly blown away by the artists of our day.

This is really on another level. I really like how the concept of being drunk (both musically and visually) is represented here, and I aspire to be on this compositional level some day soon. Cheers!
First impressions: Trippy as hell, and not in a good way. But then the "Chorus Bass" hits, and dignifies it a second listen.
Now I'm on the fourth, getting through it in chunks and its sing-along worthy. And that "Chorus" bass with the back-synths gets better for each time.

this can't get old to me. as brilliant as the music is, the visuals make me feel something indescribable. that being said, without the music, the visuals wouldn't be as impactful, and vice versa.

The rhythm isn't that complicated actually - it's the wacky slightly out-of-tune on purpose chords that make it feel weird
