The trick is to turn auto catch off but auto spin on. Then you still play but get to concentrate on shiny hunting or raiding or whatever.

It will auto catch if you mod it to take the button feature out.
To anyone wondering - yes, you can also do this with the official Pokemon Go Plus by modding it (solder a wire to the button contact). It will then autocatch Pokémon (if you have Pokeballs) and autospin stops when in range.
have you done this? are there any drawbacks to this? like it draining battery faster or something
In my experience, the battery lasts longer.
The rumble motor on my mod is switched off on auto mode which saves juice.

That's exactly what I do. For catching Pokemon, the Pluses are garbage. But for stops, especially while just driving around, it's amazing

I would say this is safer than a go plus for a car ride
There's one big plus to the go-tcha: it drops the catch phase with the "wiggles", telling you immediately that you caught something - or not, and speeds up the catching process. That way, you can do a faster walk-by catch of many mons in a small spot, or have a better chance of collecting items from a pokestop when pokemons are close to it.
I understand some of your concerns about this but I use a wheelchair and I'm unable to use the official go plus and often I'm actually unable to catch a Pokémon because I can't throw the ball hard enough. so for me this is basically what I need to play the game since I can't play it on computer, which is also something that I would really like to be able to pull up Pokémon go on my computer and manage my inventory and Pokémon. even if I couldn't move around it would be so much easier for me to manage those on my computer than it is on my phone.

I wish Pokémon would be more chronic diseased, old people, disabled people friendly. Game playing and rewarding wise. And placed more Pokestops and spawns more Pokémon especially in rural earia.

PaithanNL I find it Pokémon go players are not forgiving to disabled, old people injured etc using exploits to play because they are unable to play the normal way they see it as an excuse which is crazy
Got to be better than the genuine go plus that looses connection on iOS when phone is locked. Niantic say 'it's a known issue' yet 3 months on no fix

This issue isn't with the Go Plus or this new thing. It's in the way the game is programmed. It tries to use too many resources when a Plus is connected but the game is running in the background. The result is that the phone kills it.
FatCatGarfield I ran the go plus for two months with no issue it just started playing up 3 months ago. I've tested 3 go plusses on my phone same issue and I've also tested different iOS devices. There is a software bug somewhere which is very annoying

they don't ban the videos that show you how to cheat... so yea.. doubt it.
What also sucks with the go-tcha is that (for me at least) when u turn off auto catch for pokemon and leave pokestops on, it doesn't spin stops because it's busy trying to catch pokemon because it prioritizes them, but as it's not allowed to catch them it just loops and ends up doing nothing
If you still play try connecting the catcher, go into settings turn off all the auto settings then make sure you turn the one you want to prioritize(stops or mons) on first. That’s something I just noticed while using my 24/7 catcher
Fun Fact : The dirt lot, starting at 8:20 use to be a Motel which the film " Blow ", starring Johnny Depp was filmed at, the scene where Johnny goes to pick up some drugs can be seen in the movie. So this aftermarket item works better than the official one. The plus takes forever to connect or takes multiple tries, or doesn't stay connected for less than an hour.
The Hungry Ferret it doesn't matter what device you use they all disconnect after 1 hour... So after 60 Minutes you have to go and reconnect it... Doesn't matter what device you use they are all like that!

@@RabbitConfirmed no matter which model of go plus you have... It will always 100% of the time disconnect after 60 minutes of use... Niantic designed it that way... I'm not sure why... But I'm guessing it's to prevent people from just Auto catching Pokemon all day long and never actually playing the game... Your guess is as good as mine!

So essentially it's a cheaper Pokémon GO Plus that keeps triggering the button internally. Therefore it works with the same accuracy as a GO Plus. From the game's perspective I think it would be hard for Niantic to see if you were using a real or fake one.

Nick I think I know why the the GoPlus doesn't activate to catch a Pokémon or swipe a pokestop quickly. It's because when your phone is open the game wants you to do these actions yourself. When your phone is locked and asleep, the GoPlus activates more quickly. I've sorta tested it out.
Imagine getting this without pokestops/gyms in your area and you buy an unlimited amount of pokeballs, get more pokemon storage space and have your auto catch on as you sleep for a whole week.

I took my pogo+ to a local plave that fixes phones... they modified my + so it catches and spins autmatically. It doesnt vibrate either... I love it!

Heather Faaborg yeah because they basically ruined it. the took one wire off (I'm assuming what makes it vibrates) and attached it to the button set up so when it use to vibrate you'd press now it doesn't do it and pressed the button

Got one of these in Dec 2017, know you mention the 8 hour usage battery life but have found that on a complete charge I can use it almost for a 24 hour period before it goes dead. And that is with auto catch, auto spin, and the vibrate notification on.
But you have to reconnect to your app every hour? I mean, I live on a pokestop, what would happen if I let it run for a night on a charger and all?

@@rodochucho2551 Hey Rodo, yes it disconnects every 30-90 minutes even on the charger. Its still a way to gain a lot of pokeballs though. I wouldn't use the autocatch feature as it seems to only catch about 30-40% of the pokemon at my lvl (29).

I would hardly consider this cheating because you still have to have pokeballs and you still have to roam around. I'm sorry, but lifting your finger isn't the hardest part of the game and it's terrible for your eyes to constantly look at the screen.
Though it becomes lame when one puts it on in the car, gets out the car after an hour and caught 80 pokemon and has his bags maxed out.
it doesn't work if you drive the speed limit. Your phone won't spawn Pokemon or poke stops if you are travelling at 30mph or above
I agree. Especially difficult to play while biking...and not recommended while driving. This can satisfy the craving to play while still being safe. Plus, in the US, you guys have sooo many p-stops & pokemon. In Romania, in our densest pokemon areas we have the same results as you probably have in the countryside. Thus, xp griding is really difficult + not so many people play...raiding is close to impossible.

There should be an option in the game to set a CP range for pokeball use in the Pokemon Go Plus. Example anything up to CP Level 100 use a red ball anything between 100-400 use Blue Ball and anything above 400 use Ultra ball. The way it works now you can chew threw red balls like its going out of style.
Oh and with the Pokemon Go plus connected my game crashes a lot.

I feel the same about the Go Plus, that it doesn’t seem like you’re really playing the game. The difference to me is that one supports The Pokémon Company, and one supports a third party. That’s fine, IMO.
Why didn't you just make another account and test it, instead of risking your main account?

Edmond Huang i had a go at a level 10 gym today ,hubby kepted getting kicked out ,and that gym had 4 profiles that had almost identical names on them and well all had blissey. so yeh multiple acounts not good . that said i didnt realize how to transfer my acount to my tablet and started a new one but only used it for a day before my daughter put my old acount on it for me . and i cant even rember what my user name is for that second account so ,usless anyway

fenrirgg absolutely, it doesn't do anything a go+ can't already do (just automatic instead of a button and rechargeable)
yeah sure, it's just convenient not to have to push the button for every junk pokemon you come across which is great for collecting star dust.
The only downside I can see with autocatch mode is that when you come across a rare it's often too quick to attempt an autocatch and it will often run away because a standard pokeball with no bonus is just not enough to catch it. So use autocatch with caution. If you're hunting a rare pokemon you should always turn autocatch off.

Another downside is that you can't change the go-tcha settings whilst it's in an animation so I find it's safer to change the in-app settings temporarily 👍
I have this, which I bought this early in the beginning of 2017 and it still works. Last night I found it cleaning out my night table drawer. Lol. I had to remove 700 of my Pokémon and also add 100 extra bag space because this thing really keeps going! I had to turn the game off last night because the vibration noise kept me awake. I can see the points, from when I catch it and the items from when I spin a poke stop, as well as the points from when I miss catching the Pokémon. I do live next to a poke stop that I can access from inside my house, so it just kept spinning. You video is very accurate. I like your vibe, I subscribed! I only paid $25 for mine when I bought it. I’m not sure how the price went up, but it was half of the real one.
From the UK, owned this for about 1.5 months. The battery life is actually about 4-5 (12-16 hour) days of constant usage (auto catch on for stops and mons). The charging time is 1 hour which will get you 4-5 days of usage. If you disable vibration then it is obviously a greater saving. Everything else is correct with what you said. It disconnects after about an hour automatically so its pretty useless if you want to catch while you sleep. it does prioritise mons but if you go into the settings on the pokemon go app you can disable the fact that it notifies you of mons. This way you can use it to just spin stops and it won't even look at the mons. it can distinguish between mons you already own / caught previously and unknown mons. This means you can set it to auto catch pokemon you already have but then only vibrate / let you know when a mystery pokemon is around, this way you can attempt to use your ultra balls / raspberries to catch those pokemon and leave the already owned ones to auto catch. To be honest i leave the auto spin and catch off most of the time, because you will be surprised how quickly it will get through your pokeballs if it is constantly trying to catch everything. This also applies to it filling your bag with items. All in all, good product but im guessing it won't be long before this product gets shut down.

I used all 3 Go-tcha,go plus, and poke ball plus Personally go-ctcha was the best and most convenient with a portable charger DANG it’s amazing also it’s cheap! They started selling it at Walmart recently and it was 30.00 US dollars! Most of the time I don’t use auto but when I go to school I turn on auto! I got mine last week!! Good luck trainers!!

They sell the Go-tcha at GameStop now! I got mine for $40 (my brother has a discount) and i enjoy it. I can't play at my job so I can now turn it on and catch my pocket monsters! Also, battery now lasts 12 hrs in use and 48 in stand by! Me and a colleague have been sharing it through the day and it works super well! i plan on turning auto catch off when I'm out and about but leaving auto spin on! I havent used a Go+ but from what I've read and seen, many prefer this one vs the Go+. Choose how you feel and how your wallet allows but the Go-tcha is a solid device! P.S. it looks like a fitbit so no one even questions it if in the arm band!

It is the best event already! The rock spawns (finally going to be able to use at least one of my 5 metal coats I got), the 1/4 buddy distance, the increased items/pokestop... I can't wait!

The TL:DR of the Go-Tcha is that it removes your interaction of pressing a button on a Pokemon Go Plus/Pokeball Plus. All 3 devices have relatively similar price ranges.
PoGo + | Disposeable battery ~$50
PoGo PokeBall + | Rechargeable battery (USB C) ~$60 without game
Go-Tcha | Rechargeable battery (Proprietary charger) ~$30 (Datel is the manufacturer of the device)
All 3 devices use the standard pokeball with only 1 throw attempt (meaning the only way to increase your catch odds is to earn all of your type badges).
The Pokeball Plus has the highest battery life on it, lasting upwards to 72 hours on a single charge. It's fast, responsive (both in haptic feedback & LED codes), but it's pretty big. It doesn't do auto catching, but does auto spin pokestops for you as well as alert you when a pokemon in the wild is an unknown pokemon so you can attempt a manual catch. The Pokeball Plus also receives updates via a nintendo switch, in fact I'm pretty sure that's the only way it receives updates (so if you don't have a switch you're stuck with the shipped firmware until you can visit a friend to have them update it via their switch). These firmware updates are usually just quality of life updates (Battery life, signal reliability, and the possibility of newer features). The other downside of the Pokeball Plus is requiring a parked pokemon inside the ball. The Pokeball Plus currently ships with a mew inside, but unfortunately the pokemon is in a "Gift" state. What this means is you have to use a Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu or Eevee Nintendo Switch game to claim the Mew gift, THEN send a pokemon off on a pokeball journey for the pokeball to work in Pokemon Go! This pokemon also must remain active in the Pokemon Lets Go game (I learned this when I transferred a pokemon I had stored in the pokeball to professor oak in Pokemon Lets Go, it bricked the pokeball until I re-synced it with Pokemon Lets Go and put a new pokemon into the ball).
Go-Tcha has a pretty lackluster battery life (8 hours at best), as far as I can tell uses the same bluetooth tech as the PoGo +, has the same response & feedback as the PoGo +, with the disadvantage of poor outdoor visibility. You can get slightly more battery life by disabling vibration feedback, and just use the Go-Tcha pairing app which supplies firmware updates as well as an easier interface for updating settings on the device. More importantly the app also gives users a statistics report, showing how many pokestops were spun and pokemon catch attempts/success ratios. The coding behind the Go-Tcha is also being updated with more features, and does require a firmware update following EVERY iOS/PoGo update. These updates are supposed to be automated via the Go-Tcha pairing app, and are mostly compatibility updates. The company behind the Go-Tcha is Code Breakers, the same company niche as GameShark.
My pick so far is the Pokeball Plus since it fits my situation. I have a Nintendo Switch, I bought the bundle Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu & Eevee with pokeball plus. It works, it works better than the PoGo+, and seems to work noticeably better each time they do a controller update (which is usually every Switch Firmware update).
14:57 its nice that the gotcha is rechargeable but batteries do age over time, so a go plus is a more reliable pick over time since you swap it's batteries.
the gotcha also seems pretty hard to repair because it's glued shut, the go plus has screws so it should be easier
I think it shouldn't catch Pokemon automatically. What I really like about it is the Pokestop spins and I feel like there's real reason to prevent that. Most of the time I go by some Pokestops but I can't pull up my phone because I'm either driving, or it's raining, etc. Being in the suburbs, if I miss the very limited Pokestops around where I live, I'm almost certain to run out of items (if I catch common Pokemon as well as rarer ones).
It just a better version of Go Plus...

The only thing Go-tcha needs is the ability to use different balls, but that's a restriction built into the game since it emulates the Go+

Hi Nick I have a suggestion for gym placement and I wanted to get your opinion on it. What if your position depended on when you added your Pokémon. So if you are the first to place in a gym you automatically get top spot. If you are fifth you get the fifth spot and so on. No longer depending on CP. Let me know if you think this could work. Alex Lopez , that's a really great idea! However, it has one fault: a powerful Pokemon placed late will make a gym much harder to beat or even have a hand in beating for the weaker players, and this will decrease participation by such players. It also seems quite simple, and somehow I think the rework will make things slightly more complicated to have a more interesting system. But it is still an excellent base to build upon. I hope Niantic got this idea as well.
Green05 when a weak player fights a strong pokemon in a gym, the cp of the pokemon goes down for the weaker player so that the weak player can beat it easier

I wouldn't call the Go-tcha a fake go plus, it's not trying to be that. Just a third party version of it. The company that makes it is known for making hacking devices and whatnot.

Hello, Today I found 2 new gym's in the area where I live. Also Niantic added new pokestops!!! This is in Holland in the area called 'Zuid Beveland", is has a lot of small towns and very rural. The 2 gyms where added to two churches. To bad not the church in my town :( Also it looks like they changed the gym symbol on the map. The higher the gym level the more circles appear under the gym. The gym's where addes atleast afther 10 pm Central European Summer Time. Also thanks nick for the hard work, I really like your channel.
The GPS at work is bad when I am in the office. So it makes it look in the game like I am walking between three PokeStops and a Gym. This thing turned that into going home with 1000 items every day.

You would have to walk 1km for 1 candy, all distances for Pokemon will be reduced by 4 times.
But if u still walk like original distance u would technically get 4 candies, but you won't have to wait.. Hehe
usually when they do double they reduce the distance, my assumption is it might be different this time and give the 4 candy for the regular distance
+Goken SSJ For a 5 km pokemon you would have to walk 1.25 km for one candy, not 1 km

pokeball plus already auto-spins pokestops if they have a pokemon inside (you dont even need to own let's go pikachu or eevee because from a gameplay point-of-view it comes with a mew inside) so if you want to use just this feature and not the auto-catch you can buy the pokeball itself that also works as a controller for the two switch games mentioned before
