Phew! I was almost dreading that opening “surprise” considering a few other channels that I watch have recently announced the end. Didn’t want another one to go away.
Yeah, I didn't expect Tom Scott quitting to cascade into so many others quitting. I get why, though. RUclips's failing algorithms create an unenviable position where you have to compromise your creative vision for your audience second and for an arbitrary and regularly changing algorithm, there's not much left to keep it worthwhile.
